Let's get this out in the open right now

I love Leicester city.
But, it's time we had a talk.
Since the Thai's took over in 2010, we've won the Premier League and the FA cup.
We've also only made a profit in one financial year (i think) the year we won the title.
The owners have also written off hundreds of millions of loans multiple times and we own our stadium (i think)
We have a great stadium and they've spent money on a state of the art training facilities, which by all accounts are far more expensive to run than the previous setup.
Herein lies the problem, since 2016 we've had delusions of grandeur.
We wanted a seat at the big boys table having punched above our weight, but we don't have the administrative setup to achieve that.
We are not a big club we are a provincial club in an average sized town with a fanbase that will never match a BCC.
We have a CEO who every year trots out the same line at financial results time about the Thai's being in it for the long term, and working for the long term stability of the club. How does that square with making a loss in literally every season and getting relegated?
We have a DOF who has fucked up deadline transfers twice now that would've got him fired from a BCC after just one. The daka one may cost us points.
You see, we want to be a big club but with a small club setup.
Before he passed away big top saw us as a family style club, a Norwich if you will, biffing the big boys on the nose, but as a hard nosed businessman he really ought to have upgraded the admin side of things for us to really be a big club, because now we have an owner without his nous or passion who's reliant on these incompetent clowns like Rudkin and Whelan blowing smoke up his arse.
We had the chance after the 2016 title win, to put a better structure in place, but we didn't, and we've pissed money away on absolute shite with the odd exception, and with an inflated wage bill and mounting costs, our losses have gone up and up (pandemic notwithstanding) whilst our position has got lower and lower.
you cannot run a business as a loss maker all the time, it beggars belief (although i'm sure KP get to use us on the balance sheet against any profit to lower tax liabilities)
After this season whatever happens, promotion, points reduction, whatever, there needs to be a root and branch clearout on the admin side of the club.
Personally i think we are fucked financially if we don't get promoted, and if we do, we ought to do a norwich/luton and sell anybody we can, agree we'll come straight back down with kids, freebies and cast offs, but at least we'll have a cushion for future FFP/P&S and be in a stable financial position.
After 2016 we should have left the yo-yo years behind us, and it's an indictment of the club that we still are.
I am utterly pissied off with the shambles on and off the pitch at the moment, and after 50+ years of following LCFC don't know if i can care anymore.

It’s unfathomable how far we’ve fallen since 2016.

Totally agree that if we go up we’ll be straight back down, just like we did in 2004, it’ll be a collection of free transfers and failures and players running down their contracts.

If we don’t go up, we need a clear out like we did when Brian Little came in, scour the lower leagues for talent looking to make a name for themselves and play them with our own youngsters looking to establish themselves.

It’s a sad realisation that’s hit me today, we don’t have any right to be in the Premier League and I honestly don’t know when we’ll get back there if we miss out this season.

Don’t fool yourself, obviously you still care otherwise you wouldn’t be bothered to post and express your opinion, which was very well put if I might say so if I gave a damn 👀

I think your sentiments are an echo of a lot of the older ones amongst us we know what we are and always will be. You are hitting the nail on the head about the admin side those two clowns are culpable and it’s unfathomable how they are still at large given they are in a multi million pound business where normally someone with their record would of been dispensed with years ago.

The trouble is it's in your absolute being its got you by the short and curries whether you like it or not after 80 years l stopped going through Arthritis.
But l still cannot get them out of my system
Still get mad as he'll still get moody when they don't live up to expectations.
Moan about them as the expectations of those in charge fail abysmally at their well paid jobs ditto about the playing side.

But it's in the blood which now remedy can cure

Absolutely delusions of grandeur. Always goes wrong for us when we start thinking we should be signing established top flight players not hungry players on the way up.

Tis true, the GF hates it when we lose because I’m a nightmare but loves the fact that I’m passionate about it, especially when we win 😏

On a side note I’m not sure what you’re taking to combat arthritis and I know different people are affected differently with ailments but this one works for a couple of lads although you’ll smell like a polo mint 👀😀

Can’t argue with that🤔
