Kansas

Saw them tonight at the Keswick Theatre, just outside Philadelphia, on their 50th Anniversary Tour. Not sure they ever really made it in Europe, but they were huge at one stage in the US, and still have a loyal following.

This was my first time, part of a summer for me of catching bands I’ve missed previously. Have to say I really enjoyed them. Spine tingling rendition of “Dust in the Wind” and a bunch of other good songs played well.

And again, last night in Morristown, NJ, still on their 50th Anniversary Tour. In the intervening 9 months they’ve grown to a 7-piece, but had to play a couple of subs, as the drummer has had a heart attack and the bass player is out for unspecified reasons. Good musicians still having fun on the road.
