Just Stop Oil Protests - Question

If these protesters climb up these gantrys above the M25 - why do the police have to stop all the traffic on the motorway and climb up to get them down?
Why not leave the caants up there?
Especially if they have glued themselves to the railings.
What harm can they do?

It’s all health and safety bollocks. They could throw things down onto the carriageway or vehicles below.

They could fall.

I agree by the way, I’d keep the road open and put a message on the digital displays that Stop Oil Protesters were on the gantries. I imagine many drivers would give them grief. I know I would.

It’s cost me about £100. I've something on near Weybridge next Monday and I can’t afford to waste time sat in traffic heading there on Monday morning, in case there are still protests, so the misses and I are staying over now.

But if they have glued their hands to the gantry how can they then throw objects onto the motorway?
And how could they fall if they are glued to the gantry?

Anyone ever asked them how they get to the gantries? Bet it is not by walking or cycling.
If I was going to risk arrest and having a criminal record, fuel or loft insulation is not something that would motivate me! The monotonous claptrap that these people trot out when they are afforded the oxygen of publicity suggest that they have been somehow brainwashed, and that there are much darker forces behind all this.

Two were arrested in London recently, who were from Glasgow.
How did they get to London?
The soup. The paint.
How do they think those products came to be in their hands?
Thick fuckers.

Bang em up for 6 months then get them doing (as Sizzler used to say in Brookside) some cccccccommunity serivce, like litter picking by the motorway or cleaning graffiti from the side of buildings using their acrophilic skills. Something really mindblowingly boring. The length of service should equate to the amount of time wasted by each and every person who was inconvenienced as a result of their antics.
And if their supposed grievance is about fossil fuels isn't having thousands of vehicles running their engines whilst stuck in a traffic jam of their making a bit self-defeating?!

They do have a point though.

C4 News asked some representative from Nigeria if she thought some of these protests were a bit extreme, She answered that it was strange how there was a conversation going on about 'extreme' protests but the deaths of children from famine and thirst due to climate change (partly due to use of fossil fuels) wasn't seen as 'extreme'.

We do need to spend big on renewables, we're an island it's about time we invested hugely in tidal power.

I'll be pissed off if they stop my train from running though.

I support their right to protest. Vandalism, obstruction and breaking laws are not protesting

It raises the profile of their cause. They've probably tried oetirjtiins and strongly worded emails to their MPs. People are moaning about being inconvenienced, but don't you consider the destruction of the planet to be a bit inconvenient?

You lot would have complained about the suffragettes ruining your acca.

We, as tax payers (i.e. the government) are spending an absolute fortune on the fuel price guarantee. We'll be playing it off for decades, and it's going straight to the coal fuel companies

Imagine if we'd spent it on insulating Britain instead. But those guys were just hypocrites who 'deserved a kicking'. Just like the stop oil guys now. One day we'll realise they were 100% right as well.

Who says their aims are wrong? Vandalism and pissing thousands of people off is diluting their argument and makes them look like extremist loonies.

We have to find alternatives to fossil fuels but we simply can’t just stop using them until we have viable alternatives

My 10 week old grandson was taken into hastings children's hospital on Monday, I drove down Tuesday morning only to get caught up in traffic for nearly 2 hours trying to get there , I swear I would have personally have chucked the bastards off personally.
Wouldn't it be nice if we knew where these weirdos and there families lived and parked on there drive or put superglue in there locks, any info would be appreciated !!!!

More truth than Bitchute or wherever your rancid opinions are picked up from.
Hackers, before you start calling people's opinions rancid why don't you have a look at companies house and see who is registered as the director of Just Stop Oil. And then see what you can find out about them. Might be a bit nearer the truth than your Channel 4 Docudrama.

I wouldn't trust the Companies House listings for that person. Three companies incorporated this year, with a single owner and "worth" £10 billion each. Though just £1 in shares. Including an opal mining and an electronic vehicle charging company. Yeah right.

Also a bloke with the same name and address, spent recent time in jail, after stabbing someone to death.

Isn't this the bloke behind Just Stop Oil?

Don't do your own research, that never got anyone anywhere.

Just accept what is posted without question, whilst simultaneously being told not to accept what your told 👍

All I'm saying is it all looks a bit sus.

Looks like a looney tunes has decided to put some fake companies up.
Some people have fallen for this hook line and sinker.
