As the Plymouth fans (and very fair play to them for turning out in such numbers) were singing with some justification… not unlike on here tonight as it happens. We won 4-0 FFS! All a bit weird if you ask me.

🎵 “Hello darkness my old friend…” 🎵

Yeah, weird how the moaners go all quiet. They must be almost disappointed. Maybe they're just out enjoying a decent win and not worrying about the small mistakes we got away with, and would have been punished by a decent side blah, blah.....

I think it was …….

‘Duh, duh, duuhh….. football in a li-bree
Duh duh duuhh….,,,, football in a li-bree’

And

‘We forgot that you were here.. ‘

Well the troops in SK1 kept going all game.
They did……….and I’m not knocking them, but to the neutral observer it looks like 20-30 enthusiasts with a flag. It’s just not taken off has it.
you look at palace’s ultras and it’s probably up to a couple of thousand
It’s a shame but it’s not been embraced by anywhere near enough

I agree 100%.

I don’t like half the songs sung, but I can’t really complain as I’m doing nowt to add to the atmosphere.

The one thing I still don’t get is the pre match WYS vs the in game WYS. Pre match it’s cut off at the 2nd “whole world smiles with you”, why?

Another line and a massive “and Leicester” is surely to Christ how is should end?

Very, very enjoyable game and an excellent attacking performance thanks in no small part to Plymouths gung ho approach but let's not forgot the gates were opened by a dubious penalty.

Matt Elliott was in no doubt either on the stream to be right. Maybe its just my dislike of modern day penalties with initiated contacts and theatrical falls.

The passage of play….

KDH bundled over outside box (ref thinks ‘ooh that might’ve been a foul)
Ball breaks to mavididi, who goes over an outstretched leg ( ref thinks, ‘ ah that’s fine cos I can award a pen now’)

We were quite close to the penalty and it looked like a definite handball by mavididi followed by a definite foul on mavididi.

I love libraries me. I doubt many of those oiks have been in one.
They are rarely very silent places these days apart from a reading room or reference room

Still in disbelief that there was any dissent over yesterday’s game.
Game was really entertaining I thought. We created lots, Plymouth were poor but open enough that there was plenty of chances at both ends…
The wingers were great. We looked much better (on this sample data of one) with Daka up front than Vardy or Nacho.
There was even some long balls over the top at times to satisfy throwback football fans.
49 points from 20 games is an incredible effort let’s face it whether we have one of the biggest budgets in the league or not.
It’ll probably upset some people on here but I think this manager will be one of the best in the world one day and I think we’re lucky to have him. We’re all grappling with the entertainment factor I’m sure but there’s not a single person on here who wouldn’t have ripped your hand off to accept this position pre season.
With the financial disparity associated with being out of the top flight (and it’s only getting worse) getting out of the division as early as possible is imperative if we want to be a force in the game.
If you want to watch long balls and blood and thunder football go and watch your local non league team maybe cus respectfully modern football ain’t for you im afraid.
I was chatting to a fan of Bristol City yesterday and I was saying a lot of our fans are unhappy with our lot right now and he was in absolute disbelief and thinks we must have been incredibly spoiled over the years.
Hopes for January:
Sign Fatawu permanently. He’s still a rough diamond but he’ll end up at a much bigger club if we let him get away.
Sign midfielder to replace Ndidi in January when he’s off to AFCON (Butch Casadei ain’t the one, seen enough now)

I’m not Doyle’s biggest fan by any stretch (as he cost us several goals pre injury) but think his return will make us better because he has a much more expansive passing range than Justin and is more positive.

I take your point Shane, it is certainly effective but do we need the central defenders to pass the ball to each other for lengthy periods?

Other fans tend to make their judgement based on the highlights on the telly.

I think we definitely overdo it sometimes (we were even worse for it under Rodgers) and this team and manager is definitely not behind criticism but on the whole it’s preferable to them just aimlessly lumping it straight to the opposition. I don’t enjoy watching mindless stat padding across the defence when there is an option in the middle of the park.
I don’t mind some patience being applied in waiting for openings though.
I (perhaps naively) hold out hope that it will become more entertaining when we have a very different side if (fingers crossed) we do secure promotion this season.

MON once moaned about Marshall becoming more popular the less he played.
Think there could be something similar with DP – one corking pass at Brentford in the Cup aside, I struggle to remember anything that suggests he'll do anything much for us before leaving on a free.
And it seems he's becoming a bit of a sicknote too (yes, probably due to hardly ever playing).
