It comes back to what was said at the start. Things may be far, far worse had measures not been taken.
Covid is a far more deadly disease than influenza (according to the experts). I wouldn't know.
None of us will never know and that feeds into the theories that Covid isn't as bad as feared. Because we limited its deadliness.
It is sad that we couldn't create a scenario where the vulnerable were protected and money was properly injected into intensive healthcare provision. Then rest of us could have carried on as usual.
