Hi, thought I'd put the post on now regarding the streaming of Dad's funeral for those of you who can't make it. If you can't watch at the time of his funeral I believe the stream will be available for 7 days after.
I just wanted to thank you all so very much for your lovely messages over the last 2 weeks, I really am touched by the love for him
Much love, Carly. X

A very moving, poignant service which The Hoss would have been justifiably proud of. An effin' brilliant tribute from Carly - as the celebrant rightly said: that takes some balls girl!

RIP Micky.

Well done Carly. Never easy doing that. Great speech and thought the entrance music was just THE best.

Lovely service, thanks for setting up the online view. Loved the Blazing Saddles references and the music, hope youngun gets the chance to raise a toast. You did him proud x

Hard to believe he will not be posting on here any more. I still wait for him to pop up with some of his sanguine wit.
Carly - you did a magnificent job and I am sure that he would have been so, so proud. The last part brought tears to my eyes.

Feckin brilliant send off for the great man, he would have loved it especially the music…
Carly I have never met you but that was one of the best speeches I’ve heard and I’ve delivered a good few myself, Micky would have listened to that and pissed himself, mind you most of the gang on Bentleys Roof piss themselves regularly anyway….,
Chips & beans chips and beans on a tray, chips and beans chips and beans on a trayooooo…
Dermot… 💙x

I’ve just watched, Carly, you did him proud.
The things that pop into your head. The last time I played your Dad at Darts was when he was playing out of The Red Lion and I was playing for The Plough.
I left myself a horrible finish, double one, and blocked myself with my first two darts. I always had a trick though, moved a good four feet to the left and had an angled shot that looked stupidly hard. I’d done it quite a few times though. Your Dad looked at me like I’d lost my marbles. I let go and in it flew, straight into the bed. He just stood there and then grabbed my hand with a huge smile on his face and said “you jammy cunt!”.

Thing is, and this is sort of my point, he was genuinely pleased to have been beaten by such a weird and audacious shot. That sort of summed him up. He loved the unusual.

Sleep well mate.

Fantastic tribute, lovely service. The flag looked amazing.

Be great if someone could post a photo of the back page of the order of service, to see the report.

As far as the roof was concerned, T’was a fackin freak show. Micky will be sooooo embarassed, as he walks through those pearly gates!

Unforgettable service. Sorry couldn't make the pub. Straight up from London and straight back again.
Many thanks to the Weller taxi service.
Will pass on the donations to KPBW.
Great to meet a bunch of Roofers but wish it was under different circumstances - like a fun day.

lovely to see you again Sohofox and thanks for the drink bro

Just to echo others sentiments, good service and speech that Micky would have approved of . Well done Carly, even for putting the swearing in as well. Was that Jackie G`s flag draped over the coffin ? Nice to see Greg Chapman was there as well.

Feel privileged to have been there to pay my respects to a great man.Always difficult to find the right words on these occasions. Wonderful words from Carly indeed. Just back home from the Dog & Gun and well done to Alfie for raising the toast to his Grandad on what must have been a hard day for the lad. My respect and thoughts for all the Family and friends today.

RIP Mick, sorry I was late. The grub was lovely, especially the doorstep sarnies, and I loved the fact the the salad was utterly untouched. X
