Got almost zero backing from Wagner officers.
Not one regional official came out and supported him.
If he's not insane, it looks like he had at least one moment of insanity.
He's played right into Putin's hands, because he clearly was popular, but needed side lining.

I did read your post. And Astley can clear it up.

My read on Astley: I'd be amazed if someone who watches Russia as keenly as he does thought it even remotely possible that putin would happily wave prigozhin on his way with no ill will. As I say, surely there can't be anyone who thinks that. Can there?

But if he's on record saying that then I'll concede, and go back being woke, whatever that insult means.

Astley seemed to get excited about Prigozhin having huge support... Hearing that the Russian army was in revolt,...
Putin basically hanging on desperately. That kind of stuff.

As interesting as it is, I think most people following it, had no doubt that Prigozhin had seriously miscalculated.

I dont disagree to a point. But, he marched 25000 mercenaries, to within 200 miles of Moscow, and no one fired a shot at them. Strange?
