Imagine Luton

I do think it’s an opportunity missed to give more locals the chance to watch top division football and to pick up a load more supporters in the process. I’m sure they could attract 20,000 if the stadium was big enough.

They’re basically a slightly smaller Brighton. They’ve attracted a regular 30000 crowd since they moved into the Amex. Would be the same but I just find the Bournemouth situation strange. They obviously don’t trust themselves to be in the PL long term but even so a new stadium with corporate add ons should be the minimum after the money they’ve received in the last 9 years. It’s for the next 50+ years. Like Seagrave.

Easy to say, but loads of factors to consider, especially for a club that is yo-yo-ing up and down and have been on the brink before.

Even at League 1 level in todays world I’d suggest the Vitality stadium would be poor. There are at least 8 clubs in that division today who have stadia over 20000.

Every time i watch a game at Luton on ESPN+ i think i'm back in the 1980s ....

Its a pity they have got to spend money improving Kenilworth for the Premier League while they are planning to move. I think they over achieved too soon.
