I've met him. Granted, it was back in the 80s. Hence the 'no surprise' in the subject field.
But putting that aside, he used to always go on about how brilliant WS was. Obviously, he's 'matured' out of that sort of kindness too.

his putting out what was essentially a solo album and using sargeant as a session guitarist and calling it a bunnymen album so he could pay his mortgage really was the low point.
and the album is shite.
