Ipswich Town have announced the permanent signing of striker George Hirst from Leicester City.​

The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Portman Road, keeping him at the club until 2027.

I think in a roundabout way involving OH Leuven we paid Sheff Wed £1/£1.5 million for him apparently…
I think that leaves us with a choice of Vardy, Daka & Iheanacho (who I think will go) for this season unless we splash a load out on the likes of Ings in wages…

Shame, I really hoped Hirst would make it at Leicester. I think last season Rodgers said he was going to take a look at him pre-season...another career ruined!
