Herman Munster

Can’t believe I’m writing this but when Blackburn started creating havoc with their quick movement and frantic pressing, Herman standing motionless on the edge of our area for minutes at a time with the ball at his feet was just what we needed.
In all fairness, I could have done that😄

After twenty minutes Oadlass asked me how it was going.
I said they are half asleep because of the sloppy/complacent/careless way we were playing as Blackburn zipped it around us.
It was not just Mads who was standing on the ball. Vesta was as well. As this is obviously a tactic I am curious about its
effectiveness, particuarly when chasing the game. Is this what Enzo means about patience?
Just imagine both teams doing it. You could almost hear the clatter of neutrals switching off.
Also can anyone explain the benefit of 'playing out from the back' even when it's dicking about in our own six yard box?
Bit of a rant over...

Playing out from the back pulls their players out of position, destroys their press, and means that when we pivot and break forward we aren't facing ten players behind the ball.

And then like magic, four passes later Vards is smashing it in the roof of the net. I love the Enzo philosophy. Cultured footy..

Vardy's goal was right out of the top drawer. Four touches in total from Fatawu playing it down the line to Wilf. I like Tomasson, he would be on my long list of possibles if we needed to find a new manager, but for him to describe that as a soft goal defensively is pretty daft
