Hemp is a very versatile natural substance that was used for 1000s of years. Unfortunately it was banned in the UK in the 1920s when it was classified the same as Cannabis in the Dangerous Drugs Act. It was also effectively banned in the USA in the 1930s when they introduced am unaffordable tax, allegedly influenced by commercial interests from Dupont, maker of Nylon.

Bring it back, make it legal, fill the fields with it. It's also more effective at absorbing carbon than trees so all you planet lovers will be happy.

That Rockefeller banned it because he realised he could make more money out of plastics and all the shite we are surrounded by in todays lifestyle. He also invented the phrase ‘fossil fuels’ because oil comes from dinosaurs bones obviously, and as we all know there isn’t an endless supply those big make belief lizard like creatures.

Fossils aren't only only made of dinosaur bones. Anyway, where do you think oil comes from then, and do you think there's an unlimited supply?
 
"Fossil Fuels" was first used as a phrase by Casper Neumann, not that Rockefeller...but I've no doubt that John D did use the phrase to his advantage.

An unlimited (infinite) supply of oil. How? Isn't Earth finite in size?

here's an earth shattering bit of info - Oil will never run out, its the 2nd most common liquid on the planet and it replenishes itself.

Oil does replenish if you cap a well for a period of time,
 
So here’s a question. If oil replenishes itself and I f we don’t drill for it, will it eventually spout like a geyser?

I’m guessing not as we don't drill every oil reserve, but if not, what happens to it?
