Hamza charged with drink driving.

Not on. Shouldn't have been allowed to play last night. Too many incidents and the COVID party still irks with me, no respect for the club or fans and certainly not captain material

Or Premier League squad material making the contract extension extremely bizarre

Apparently not so devout...assuming he is a muslim.
In any event it is a law thing, not religion.
A lot of judgemental stuff on here, not surprisingly..

Hamza loves a Russell Harty

He was one of the caaants including JM who were on it during Covid in Perez’ apartment.

Typical footballer with tons of dollar who couldn’t really give a faack about the general public and he’ll just have to pay some pleb to drive him around for a few months .

i believe the judgemental part unrelated to the law comes from:
a) he is a sunni muslim
b) he recites parts of the qoran in the changing room before going out on the pitch
c) tweeted about 'the river to the sea' in regards to solidarity with Palistinians who are mainly fellow Sunni muslims
d) and yet got done for drink driving.

a bit like that newcastle fella who who claimed his religion stopped him from wearing a betting company advert on his shirt, but was then found in a local casino, err, betting.

As a secular person i have no problem with religious people following their good book (bible, qoran, torah, etc), but not when they pick and choose which parts to follow and ignore the rest.

I have no problem with people picking & choosing (and I am sure there's plenty in those books where it would be wise to - or at least to take a less literal stance) as long as they have no expectation on me to follow suit.

The religious angle on this is just bollocks, assuming the story is correct it's just about someone breaking the law. He should just be dealt with according to the laws of the land (and irrespective of his profession).

We can agree to disagree. I'm probably suffering from religious PTSD living in a country where these kinds of people (the pickers and choosers) want to legislate those parts of their religion they like for all, even if it goes against the founding principles of said country.

In short we are agreeing because they are expecting you to follow suit.

You mean like those Christians who don't like the gays but try use the Bible to justify it.
