FFP if index linked .....

Should be £215M according to Kieran Maguire (When Your Smiling Podcast). The £105 permitted loss over 3 years has not changed since being introduced 1n 2013, which was voted in by all Premier League clubs of that time. It was said to prevent another Portsmouth that resulted in administration and the risk of going out of business, absolute con, it was voted in and fully supported by the big clubs with a global fanbase - Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, clubs, historically the richest top tier teams. It was to prevent another Chelsea and Man City with billionaire owners who financed the clubs with unlimited millions to bag the silverware for season after season, also going back to the 1990s and the time of steel magnate Jack Walker who financed his local team Blackburn Rovers who went on to buy top PL players managed by top managers who won promotion and 2 years later the PL title. This FFP prevents Newcastle becoming the next Man City and seriously limits the threats of a Brighton or Villa getting anywhere near what LCFC achieved in 2016. We all agree that the board of Leicester City have utterly trashed the massive financial gain that was made in 2016, the decisions made on player recruitment and salaries have destroyed our reputation and set us back years. However, they are not going to bankrupt the club, Top and his King Power millions will take the hit and hopefully it will bring back sustainability. LCFC are not another Portsmouth, there will be no administration, nobody is in danger of not being paid. The Foss Way article about this and potential punishments describes the PL having their knifes out for us and the ELF have got a chainsaw ready to make an example of our club for daring to stop them demanding a financial report of last season. It is pretty certain that the new football regulator will strip the PL of this current FFP that is not fit for purpose and only protects the PL Brand and its global cash flow from the top 6. I trust when this happens that LCFC along with Everton and Forest and others in their sights will seek the financial compensation from the PL for punishments that could result in financial oblivion.

Index linked would have been fairer, but the whole thing is still a farce.
Treats clubs like businesses, then you have to allow fair competition...

We just need to generate more cash i.e build new stadium and sell hell of a lot more shirts abroad unfortunately for the likes of us, Brighton and Villa we are always going to lose out in financial stakes to the likes of United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal who are massive massive clubs, maybe even Spurs.
