European Super League

One can only hope that the wanky CL plans that seemed due to be signed-off tomorrow are ditched. That would be a good start to the fall-out from this.
No such luck.
Approved.
UEFA prove they're still caaants. It speaks volumes that many people seem to be hoping they're best placed to stop the latest load of bollocks.

Agreed. Really disappointed they've not used the chance to roll back the 'wild card' entry for failing bcec.

This is ten games a season, if we kick them out of the PL, and our cups and ban there players from international football, then the big 6 will be screwed. Yes it will need a restructure but its really really important that they do not become even richer and destroy competition in all aspects of world football. I think this is just a play to gain more money and power. but if we roll over there will be no going back, we will just be playing just to make the numbers up and produce players for them.

I can hear the sound of lawyers rubbing their hands together, before starting the meter and settling down to start preparing various 'restraint of trade' etc claims...

Can't believe you referring to them as the big 6. Forget the media tags, everything is temporary.

Are they going to play in half empty stadiums?

Any “fans” will be pelted with warm sick.
the games will eventually played abroad, the reason this is all happening is because uefa and epl are run by morons, these clubs are run by venture capitalists who want to make as much money as possible

Can't see it happening if players are gonna be banned from international tournaments.
Do you honestly think that FIFA will do anything to harm the revenue that they can extort via their own tournaments, eg the World Cup??

exactly and players being offered contrats of 500k to 1m per week will not give 2 shits they cant play for england

Ok then, suppose it goes ahead, it wouldn't matter about chelski and scouse cause those grounds are dumps, but what would happen with Manx and spuds, a Simpsons dome to keep it clean ?

The fine print of the deal with JP Morgan is beginning to emerge
- €200-300m initial payment from infrastructure fund to the 15 Founders (they still want Bayern, Dortmund, PSG)
- €26.4m annual repayments by each club, at 2.3% interest, against future revenues
- debt-refinancing deal (what Real and the Italians need most)
- joint ownership of new media/sponsorship/image rights company based in Spain.

The need to repay the infrastructure payment if you want to get out makes this the Hotel California for the BCC. Ditto the debt-refinancing package (they’ll all be tied to JPM, or would have to borrow heavily to pay swingeing exit costs). The new joint company in Spain would want to negotiate its own terms with BT, Sky etc for access on the PL (thereby squeezing the other 14 still further) in the unlikely event they were allowed to stay.

All seems like a pact with the devil, to send the great game to Hell.

It beggars belief that both Arsenal and Tottenham are even included.

I mean fucking Spurs the team that barring a couple of domestic cups have won the square root of fuck all for decades.
Arsenal managed one CL final in nearly 30 years. Bayern and PSG would currently beat a combined best of what the two London frauds have to offer, and they ain't involved .Joke.
Spurts ground is virtually owned by the NFL

Looks like we'll have a final to play after all.

Wonder if Man city will be next out. From the word go it was said that Chelsea and Man city weren't driving this and only reluctantly joined in to avoid being left behind...

It's now being reported that all 12 clubs are meeting tonight to discuss disbanding the ESL. The backlash has obviously been well in excess of anything they expected. What exactly were they expecting?
