No new injuries, Tom Cannon and Macateer back training on grass but not with the squad yet.
It feels like he gets board answering the same questions always looks as if he would like to be back on the training pitch.

Good. Last year we had a talker who chatted shit and did sweet sod all on the training pitch. This suits me fine. Also at least if he’s bored he doesn’t do an NFP

He seems to give honest answers not just cliches. I like his philosophy, we will make mistakes but so what. Much more positive than the risk averse, concentrate on players weaknesses rather than their strengths, approach. As he says, he spent 20 years as a player and he knows what gets players up, trying and happy.

Injuries?
“No, fortunately no injuries. All of them fit, I’d like to say all of them happy, but we saw what happened with Belgium.”

“He’s okay. But it’s not something about him, it’s more general. When something like this happens, it’s sad.”
International break?
“We tried to be focused on the lads who were here with us and did some specific work. Because we have 10 or 11 players here so we tried to focus on all them. This time with Stephy, with Abdul, with Marc.”
Working with individuals?
“It’s the best, when you like to be on the pitch and coach players, it’s the best moments. It’s what we like, to teach, and to improve.”
Why work with wingers?
“During the international break, we have time to spend with them, which during the season there is no time. With Stephy and Abdul, we tried to work with the first touch, when to use the right foot and left foot.”
Swansea?
“It’s quite clear, they struggled the first six games, but since then they have won four and drawn one. They try to play. They’re a good team and have weapons.”
Best start in Champ history?
“Even if we lose, it’s a fantastic start. If we do the right things, 8 times out of 10, we get the result. Sometimes you can play well and not get the win."
