EFL Scenario 24/25

So we don't get back to the PL next season, what could happen ? EFL are waiting with the hacksaw, so say it's -15 points for the start of next season. The player fire sale before June 30th might leave us with Stolarcyk, Nelson, Alves, Braybrooke, Raikhy, Alves, Marcel -M, maybe Luke Thomas, Souttar. 50 points to avoid relegation so 65 points required, top 10 form with a young inexperienced squad, the transfer embargo would prevent getting any more in? Seems like we are heading in to the abyss if we don't win the next 2 or 3?

The EFL cannot give us a points deduction for our 2020-23 breach in the PL.

If we stay down they can give us a deduction if we breach for the three-year period ending June 2024, but this can be avoided with a quick sale of some key assets before 30 June.

Has Alves been cloned?

It is clear that the EFL are certain that LCFC have breached their FFP limits for this season but yes the figures can be reduced if a fire sale could result in some substantial numbers of money to bring the overspend down. Its all what if ..... to prevent the worst scenario happening the team have to win points to stay above Leeds or alternatively recover from missing out on the top 2 positions. recover form, bin Daka, drop Faes, bring in Coady and Cannon and win the play offs.

How can the EFL be 'certain' we have breached their limits for this season when there are still two-and-a-half months of the accounting period to go?

Just read that Leeds owe other clubs £190 million in transfer fees.
They are expecting big points deduction if they don’t sell players.
They definitely need to be promoted.

1. The EFL do not have anything like the might of the PL. They might even be worried about damaging their "product" and will not want to enter into a long legal dispute.
2. If we were going to lose the points do we need such a fire sale, especially with some of the high earners out of contract this summer?
3. The whole financial rules is a joke; incompetence on all sides. Any business allowing that to happen would not leave those responsible in their positions.
