Considered buckin opinion

GTIF

Roofer
Professional performance the result was never in doubt and should have been a more comprehensive win
'Keeper had a heart in the buckin mouth moment but noticeably came and took the next high ball cleanly
Mavidini is looking a decent buy
KDH better never apply to go on Mastermind as he is buck useless at picking the right time to pass
Another different team and we were too good for the opposition
Fatuwa looks decent and I suspect I will be able to celebrate Paddys day 2024 knowing we are promoted
God save Ireland, (especially tonight v the buckin Springboks)

Mavididi is a very good runner with the ball but how many times did a golden opportunity to cross or shoot fall to him and how many times did he bollocks it up?
Agreed but he tends to do more good than harm, leave him to get us up then move on without him

The same can be said about KDH........
moves the ball until he has to think, then he slows the game down when a more positive approach is needed and allows the opposition to fall back

What a week !!!!

We was eyeing up two tough away fixtures against potential rivals.

We dicked Southampton who are now 15th !!!

Norwich who could have gone above us 3 days ago are now 8pts behind !!!

I really didn't get why we were so fancied at the start of the season. So much turmoil.
Talented players deserting the sinking ship and being replaced, mainly by a bunch of unknowns who were untried and tested in English football.

So far It's looking good.

But we must take more of our chances. Would like to be more than one up with 5 to go, particularly after such a dominant performance.

Top of the table.
Two clean sheets in a row.
It's almost October and we look like a good side set for the long haul.
What's not to like?

Don Goodman thinks he’s already too good for this league 🤣

I like him though. Big heart and has made good contributions in several games.

Bristol City were total dog shit. What an awful football team, fans travel all that way for them to do nothing.

That said we thoroughly deserved the win even if it came from the spot.

Still plenty to improve on but given how shit these teams are we’ll be up by Christmas.

You're not wrong.
I watched Brum v QPR yesterday. Both teams were absolute garbage and yet Brum could've gone 4th with a win.

Thought it was very impressive yesterday.
Second half we created wave after wave of chances and Bristol City barely had a sniff.
Score line very flattering for them.
Enzo is bringing life into Ndidi who I thought was excellent.
Winks was v good.
Defensively solid display aside the silly pass from Ricardo and shit-yer-up moment from the keeper.
KDH and Mavididi the frustrating pair of the day but in the latter you can see how important he will be. KDH I like his engine but like some of the rest of you am struggling with the love in, maybe his time will come.
Sounds daft having only beat Bristol City 1-0 but found yesterday the most enjoyable game of the season.

We’ll see how we cope with Winks out (suspension looming) and now Doyle too although we’ve got Coady to bring in and I thought JJ looked very comfortable on the left side .

Winks suspension for another card would only be 1 game. I trust that we can manage the game he misses as we’ve seen people can fill in and do jobs so far (Choudhury taking Ricardos place v Norwich for eg).
Agree Justin looked solid on left side and think he’s generally been better on that side than the right.

I thought we were excellent yesterday. Not perfect by any means but a class above Bristol City. They were never going to lay a glove on us. Their only chances were always going to be set pieces or long balls leading to defensive mistakes. Some of our players seemed reluctant to shoot but got the job done. Bloke behind me gave a highly accurate running punditry session and he marvelled at Winks being "sensible" always making the right decisions. I thought Ndidi was superb, looked like Pele at times. Fatawu grew into the game, looked promising. Faes panics too much but the rest of the back 4/5/zone whatever it is looked solid. Ricardo showed glimpses of his old game. All in all a good job done.
I think it's telling about how little pressure we perceived that we were able to give James, King and Pearson a genuinely appreciative reception and send-off. No chance of that if Bristol had been truly competitive.
