Cmon Ipswich

I've never had much of a problem with Leeds until recently, but I've changed my mind after witnessing the level of bitterness they have towards us. A large number of their fans are absolutely convinced that we've breached PSR for this season and believe their owners are about to sue us into oblivion because of it. I mean, you'd think at least some of them would grasp the fact that we can't have breached the rules for this season when the accounting period doesn't end for another two months, but apparently not. Thick twats.

Apparently they still owe others £190m in transfer fees. As and when those instalments fall due I'd expect them to fall foul of PSR too, especially if they are a Championship club at the time. Lets hope so.

Do they have anyone that we'd fancy taking off their hands for a few bob? Maybe Summerville?

I'd argue owing other clubs such a vast amount of money, is worse than spending a bit too much of our own...allegedly...

Would be an incredible signing, but I suspect we'd face a lot of competition for him if they don't go up this year.

Any issue with instalments if there is one is likely to be a cash flow issue not a PSR one (i.e. when money is paid for agreed transfer fees is not relevant). The PSR concern for them will be that the amortisation for those transfers will carry on if those players remain on the books and as in the 2022/23 accounts that was around £81m, failure to get promoted leading to their PSR limit being reduced next season to losses of £61m over 3 seasons & a reduction in parachute payments might see them in trouble.

Which is sort of ironic. Leeds could have a material uncertainty over their ability to meet their liabilities due to lack of cash but been viewed as a sustainable club. City has the cash to meet its liabilities but is not viewed as sustainable due to historic expenditure.
