Casadei has the same complex that Mavididi did at the start of the season, he thinks he’s too good for this division.

Mavididi has for the most part realised you need to work hard. Casadei would do well to take a leaf out of his book.

Think that’s a bit harsh, Casadei has worked hard but seems nervous about screwing up. He came with high expectations and it’s not helped when there’s a large sigh from the fans when he makes a mistake. Perhaps it’s me but it seems other players don’t get the same treatment when they screw up.
 
Casadei was Much better second half
I also thought Akgun had a good game.
Got into some lovely pockets of space.
Lively all game, we've got some good back up players.

Casadei did play much better in the second 45, but he needs to either drop the ‘tude or pull his finger out from the minute the game starts or he gets on.

By the law of averages, Enzo may end up having a few duffers in the locker (as did MON, Jock & any one else from the past we hold in high regard)...

But also given the miracle Enzo has worked on the club bearing in mind the shit-show we were left with at the end of the 2023 season - he obviously sees something in the lad (just short of 20 years old, & only 15 games with Reading prior to us), isn't it worth cutting Casadei a little slack?

I'd say yes it is, but not if it jeopardises the plan in any way. I feel no obligation to help his development as a player, at our expense.
