Harvey Barnes is the only player we have who will get the ball and really run at the opposition defence.

I haven’t seen enough of Under yet to see if he can do similar.

Hindsight is wonderful of course but to leave both out, Barnes especially, was a bad decision last night. It made Fulham’s life a whole lot easier.

Don't forget Ricardo when fit.

When was the last time a player had one injury, and failed to recover their previous form?

Matty James, James Wesolowski and they are just two I can name for us.
I said one injury.
Matty James had about 20 injuries.
And JW suffered two leg breaks followed by other injuries – and I would say he got back to pretty much the same level as he would HAVE been at without the breaks. He was never going to be a world-beater, was he!

We would never of known. Thing is with James if he didn't have the first injury he wouldn't of got the others. Once you have a bad injury you tend to pick up other injuries or so I'm led to believe.

There are plenty of players who recover perfectly well from serious injuries and go on to bigger and better things – which was the original, less doom-laden point.

Can't remember much about him. Not much cop before – was he any worse after he did his knee?

I was a big fan of Ullathorne post first injury, he kept Ginola quiet in final against Spurs. Never got back to his best after the second
I think I was wrong about his knee; buggered ankle? Broken leg?
Anyway, twenty-plus years ago... ;)

I'd say Was got better after his injury, certainly no worse.
I maintain that it's very rare these days for a single injury to ruin a player. Hopefully the Wolves fella will be another to prove that point (y)
