Of course I would have. Given that we had two average forwards and one who is getting on a bit, no mental strength in defence, and a new untried manager I wasn’t even sure we’d finish in the top 6.

We’ve had a massive wobble but we’re still over the line with games to spare.


That win over Coventry in the first game really was worth its weight in gold. It gave us the belief in the early stages of the season that we could compete and do well. Thanks KDH and thanks Maresca.

Not if I knew the football was going to be so boring. We should have got rid at Christmas and brought in someone more exciting like Bielsa so we could have failed in style.

You’ve said some daft things but this takes the biscuit!! I honestly thought if we could get top 6 it would be a miracle.
 
We definitely achieved more than I hoped for. The situation last summer looked uncertain, and it could all have gone pearshaped.

Thankfully, we had a very good start to the season, and it quickly looked like complacency was the only issue that had the potential to unrail us.

Thankfully also, we overcame our recent wobble. I'm still not sure what happened there, i.e. whether Maresca's system got sussed or whether it was just a confidence / attitude issue. Or both.

Onwards and upwards!

yes and in my CBO's I was consistently confident we would do it
 
We have the best (and most expensive) squad ever to grace the championship, so we should piss it.
