At least..

What is this thing with Spurs on here?
Just another team that needs beating....
I've been here before with this Spurs thing on here.
I live amongst them, work with them & drink ( when the pubs are open) amongst them.
Spurs fans couldn't care less about us. They moan about almost everything, the same as we do on this board. They don't have delusions of grandeur nor ideas above their station.
But then again, they, nor me listen to talksport or trawl through their message boards hoping to come across a mention of us. Frankly , I find it embarrassing.

& Yes, some of their support was bang out of order at the Worthington cup final.

I think it's more to do with that season, when they finsihed 3rd in a 2 horse race. Some of the crap some of them came out with about how they deserved it was pathetic.

Don't the fans of most teams – certainly all those around London – dislike spurtz intensely, not least because of their delusions of grandeur since 1961?
I ended up as no great fan of Rupert Lowe at Southampton, but I did enjoy him saying that he "wasn't going to be pushed around by a bunch of north London yobbos" when they were after Hoddle.

Everyone's second 'most hated' in London?
Most of the Spurs fans I know are fine but they do have a reputation for believing they're better than they are.

I’d say entirely down to them being our closest competitor during our glorious season. The crap being spouted by their players and fans, and the fact that the media were lapping it up. And of course they are our competitor for top four this season, it’s joyous to see them lose

So they are up themselves. 'Big clubs' will attract those sorts, not a reason in itself to single them out.
We are better than that. Oh, have I slipped into that frame of mind?

"Aaron Wolfe is a screenwriter, storyteller, film editor, occasional podcaster, and proud dad currently living in exile from New York."

I pity his kid(s).

I'd give up trying to defend spurtz on here if I were you; maybe try posting on the Limp Cock instead? 😉

So Vertongen says he knew how we would approach that game, yet they were not good enough to stop us.

Ha ha ha. Ha ha ha ha.

For me their “Leicester City We’re Coming For You” was a defining moment in that season and Spurs will now forever be a rival of mine. I will always smile whenever I see someone in a Spurs shirt or hat or scarf. At the minute I want us to beat them. To finish above them. Every time we play.

That season they were the forth closest club to us, and West Brom, Stoke and Watford are hardly major rivals of ours. With no Forest, Derby or Cov anywhere close, we need someone to jest, why not Spurs?

That’s the first time I have ever seen anyone try to offer a geographical reason for rivalry! Clutching at straws a bit there but don’t worry, it’s fine just to hate them regardless

As a kid I would go with my dad when I was very young, but I really only started to get interested at the beginning of the '60s.

Spurs were at that time the best team in England, with the double and all that. We were not bad ourselves at that time but I remember 'always' losing to Spurs, especially in the FA cup as we seemed to draw them every year.

I am sure that my memory exaggerates the loses and the times we played them, but hatred (and admiration) for the Spurs side of the day was one of my founding memories of football and Leicester City.

Zackly! We appear to be the same age. Anyone who has to ask 'why?' is only pretending. Spurs' recent bottling factory is a huge source of great joy to me. (As it would be if it were Arsenal or SBU.) Long may it continue.

BLUE ARMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
