Any positives Maresca has bought to the club ?

We were in a better position to enter a team into the walking football league
It is better quality dross than under Puel or Rodgers
The possibility of a new sponsorship deal with Grecian 2000
The possibility of the opportunity of bringing out a new club bloopers video at the end of the season
Can’t think of too many more 😀

Not your concern though is it?

You 'support' West Ham - from afar

Fucking do one

Maresca has had no real success as a coach, he got us onto a fantastic start to the season, Willy his assistant has no previous coaching experience. We need to get behind these guys not keep questioning their tactics. We are where we are because the players thought they were top of the league and too good for this league. Hopefully they will respond after being out top two otherwise they will be moved on when the transfer window opens.

Plus points:
Players look fitter.
Players actually play to a system and it doesn’t look disjointed - problem is they stick to it rigidly.
We do play some beautiful football at times
He loves all his players - not just a special 2 or three.
He speaks to all his players - they know what’s expected, what their job and where they’re meant to be.

Minus points
Sticking rigidly to the system - even Pep doesn’t do that. Alvarez is often brought on to play just behind Haaland. We have a 37 year old as a lone striker - give him a bit of help occasionally - tuck Cannon or Ian Nacho just behind him.
Players over play things at times.
Some players appear to think just their presence will win them games. It’s an arrogance we can do without. A little more graft and urgency would be better suited.

I still like Enzo … but I want to see more of the O’Neill spirit about knowing that there’s more than one way to win a football game. We either finish teams off when we have them on the back foot or we sew the game up keeping the ball in their half and not 30 yards from our own goal.

I’d definitely describe us as disjointed. In all but a handful of games this season the opposition have created lots of chances with a ridiculous amount of ease.
Don’t forget enzo’s philosophy is complete control, hence the boring slow build up. Not taking a risk with a forward ball unless you’re absolutely sure it’s getting to the target, but the opposition break through us with ease.
We do anything but control games, it’s a myth rattling around in his head.

That's a good point Essington, the fact is the oppo are usually dictating to us how we play.

They (the oppo) will set up in a formation that lets us fuck about at the back as much as we want knowing there is very little danger of us playing forward at any sort of pace. When we do decided to up the tempo, we are by and large snuffed out by doubling up on the wingers (although, that's not necessary any more where Mavadidi is concerned !!) or packing the middle of the park.

The oppo then attack at pace when they gain possession and our defence/midfield is usually all over the shop due to the fact they have been stood on the half way (or even further back) line knocking the ball sidewards and backwards and are not physically ready for a 20 yard sprint due to inactivity.

Enzo doesn't seem to be able to grasp the fact that we are not actually "in control" but that the opposition are letting us think we have "control" but on their terms.

Spot on that is.
