Got gifted one for Xmas and tried it out with some hash browns for breakfast, very good and I don’t want to sound ungrateful or underwhelmed but it’s just a small convection oven isn’t it

Yes. I've had a few over the years. Useful when I was single, but it's easy to get it very wrong.
These days the family only trusts me to use ours.
My go to is thinnish sliced fries. Not too thin. Preheat the machine for about ten minutes. With the sliced fries, dry them off a little and then put them in a bowl with animal fat and a bit of salt. Make sure every potato is coated.
Only when the machine is really hot, do I put the fries in. On mine, it says 20 minutes for fries. But with a big batch I go with 30.

I’ll give it a go and last night I learnt a new trick, you know those tinned peeled new potatoes nobody likes, well pop them in the A/F for 20 minutes and hey presto! You have some mini roasties that everyone loves

I use a halogen oven, glass bowl so you can see how its cooking without opening drawers, ive had 5,best invention since the camera.

Being honest and without shame, yes I do, mostly sent to my daughter cause she loves to see am eating properly, but also will often share pics of curries with serious fuck off friends. No hair fryers allowed.
