0-1 get in...

In VARland was our goal a foul and or offside? Looked possibly both to me but to be right that only made it better

That's going to be the issue if we're promoted. We have a squad that will surely get us promoted, but my word, there'll be some real work to be done at every level to stay there. The gap in quality will be massive for any promoted club. Ask Luton, Sheff Weds, and Burnley. I'll just enjoy the next 8 months...

I don't think it's is as bad as that it's the mindset it's a case of learning and getting a bit quicker in thought and delivery. better teams than us will find Anfield a more daunting place than we did

Sheffield United.

That pleases me no end. We need a squad to get us out of this league and we all know we appear to have one. There will be another rebuilding job next summer.
 
I didnt see most of the match but Liverpool were wasteful in a lot of cases, and as l thought we would get a right pasting then the result ain't so bad, it just means whilst in transition which we still are the match showed just how much is needed to catch up
with the pace and skill of the Prem.
Hopefully the basics will be in place and the skill factor will be looked at if we get promoted
 
I do not see last night as a big deal , we need to focus on promotion. The new Don will get us that, I just hope he gets the financial backing to bridge the gap when we do. If not we are up for the great escape part 2 next year.
 
Quite similar to the pre-season friendly in that we were mich the better team with a real threat on the break for the first fifteen minutes or so before It changed, presumably due to Liverpool tweaking it. Whilst we did have a large slice of fortune to avoid conceding double what we did some of the last ditch defending by Coady in particular was outstanding and their second and third goals were a superb long distance strike and a world class flick finish.

He's getting us to play a certain way. He's not going to completely change it because we play a prem club. It's good to try it against better opposition. Looks like we have work to do yet and will need better players to do it, but it's working in the league so far so let it continue.

It was always going to be tough against Liverpool whatever tactics we used. They play a high press without possession and pass and move quickly with possession.
