I guess that rather depends on who the 50,000 Conservative party members voted for as his replacement. Pritti Patel is supposed to be quite popular!Boris had snuffed it while he was in hospital with the covid?
Would have saved thousands of lives.

It's the hedgehogs I feel sorry forClearly with the possible exceptions of Rowan Atkinson's Mr Bean and the man who invented the chocolate teapot, Chris Grayling is the man least suited to a job that involves making decisions that involve a budget measured in pounds rather than just pence, in the whole world.
Sixthswan us Yorkshire bastards have now plummeted to National League North. Sorry to carp on but I can't help wondering if Eggs66 is once again fishing for puns with all this talk of Grayling.
Here’s the thing. The Labour Party might move forward if they deal with the world as it is rather than the world they wish it was. Too many go on about how unfair it is. Short of revolution they need to work out how to win using present rules and then use the opportunity to make changes.Had Corbyn been in charge with 100000 dead, do we think that the BBC and majority of the press would have covered it by effectively reporting “the PM is a bit sad” ?
If they want to continue with the world as it is they might as well call themselves Conservatives. What have the rules got to do with it? they aren't trying to get around them. If they moved even more to the centre they wouldn't be Labour. If they did it just to gain votes and win and did the complete opposite they would be pilloried, and rightfully so.Here’s the thing. A nice bit of wilful misinterpretation, which is disappointing as I suspect we are both after similar outcomes. Foxgolfer's post was about right wing bias in the media. That isn't go to change - in fact it's likely going to increase. Whining that its not fair isn't going to change that and the Conservatives aren't going to do anything - so thems the rules of the game - Labour has to compete with that handicap. There are ways - but complaining that the other side are "cheating" won't change anything. If they want to continue with the world as it is they might as well call themselves Conservatives. There’s no guarantees the situation would have been better, there’s every chance it could have been worse.Boris had snuffed it while he was in hospital with the covid?

How is it biased towards the Tories? We need to change the voting system as its unfair and biased towards the tories thousands of peoples votes don't count so its a disincentive to vote. Germany has PR and does OK?
I assume you have a source for that? How is it biased towards the Tories?
The Labour Party get more seats than the Tories for the same number of voters, currently that have an advantage of around 15 seats in a general election.
Very reasonable points there time for You to get back on the main forum posting about footballThere’s no guarantees the situation would have been better, there’s every chance it could have been worse.
Same with the last election, who’s to say Labour would have made fewer mistakes had they beaten the Conservatives into power?
We won’t know the real fallout of this for a good few years. Economically speaking, maybe we’ll find that Boris has got it spot on when we emerge from this doom and gloom? Maybe the way he’s handled the vaccination programme means we’ll be back up and running again far quicker than many other countries?
Time will tell.
Are you really as stupid as you appear? Anyway the good news is that the Boundary Commission have addressed it. So, Labour can hoover up the postal votes in Tower Hamlets et al as much as they want but there are are going to be less seat to steal. Sadly they haven't addressed the Scottish issueI assume you have a source for that?
