I’ve said before they are not that well supported and haven’t been for years. A colleague of mine from Western Ireland is a member and comes across 3 or 4 times a season. She never struggles for tickets unless it’s a big game.
She was across for work last week and with a couple of weeks notice managed to get 2 tickets for Chelsea v Newcastle on the Monday night about 2 weeks before the game.
Getting tickets for a Chelsea is about the same as it is for us, except their ground holds about 10,000 more. Considering
the amount of tourists and the location bang in the centre of London, it’s amazing they’re not better supported. A few years back they were discussing making it a brand new 60,000 place. What’s the point?
