WHO have announced that they told the government in September about the new strain of covid.
Presented the data in November and the government announced this 19th December.
If you think this government gives one shines shite about you and are doing their best (BBB) you need to give yourself a good shake, and if you're following the rules because this government is telling you it's for your safety then there really is no hope for you
 
You're saying that you wont follow government advice because the government delayed in giving the advice?

So logically, if the government had followed the WHO advice in a timely manner you'd be happier following it.

I'm not sure that's what you meant.

I'm saying the government is talking shit and have talked shit so why should anyone listen to a word they say. The only positive thing they have done is created a massive dept that you and me and our children will have to pay back to someone or something who didn't have the money in the first place they just created it out of thin air

Are scientists or those in the medical world split roughly 50/50 over what we should be doing?
More like 95/5 so not too difficult to decide which advice it would be best to follow.

The problem is Hakkers these academics are not the ones who will be responsible for clearing up the chaos they want to cause, we still have 97% of the population who haven't contracted the disease so it's really not as easy as you think
 
Anyone who can be bothered to look into this can find examples of credible experts like Carl Heneghan and Sunetra Gupta who have spoken out against lockdowns. Just because they are in the minority it does not mean they are wrong.

I would be absolutely astounded if only 5% of the population had contracted the virus. In the LFT testing centre I've been working today tests were only available to schoolkids. We had been identifying around a dozen asymptomatic public facing workers each day from circa 350 tests. Today we found not one positive test from the same number of tests because, I suspect, nearly every schoolkid wlil have already had it the vast majority without realising it.
 
I wish that were true BBB.

This has nothing to do with public health, there is no realistic chance of going back to 'normal'.
