Yesterday's fiasco

If that yesterday was players showing a reaction as Cifuentes told us to expect after the meeting they all had then we are doomed.
Whatever was said fell on deaf ears!
Fans are getting more and more hacked off with seeing our players not showing any sort of commitment,If they cant be bothered when being paid a fortune, then why should the fans spend hard earned money going to watch their pathetic attempts. No wonder the gates are falling the amount of empty seats are increasing game on game as its becoming a chore to go and watch .
That first half was another new low, that first goal conceded just needed some Benny Hill Music to accompany it. To say it was Sunday League is an insult to Sunday League players. When is our Manager going to realise we cant play out against a press. We havent got the players to do it and its ridiculously slow when we are doing it anyway. We are a Joy to play against.
The 2nd half was better that was part to Soumare and Skipp putting a good shift in ( never thought I would say that!😂)our tempo being upped and Sheff Utd not pressing as much allowing us to come out of defence a bit more
Post match the Manager said he had wanted a fast start. We never start fast, in fact we dont do anything fast!! Cifuentes keeps going on about he wants us playing Attacking football but then we see this sterile slow crap. One win in 7 now at home is relegation form.
I'm afraid his time is up,go cap in hand to Martin O Neill to see if he will manage us until the end of the season or bring Big Nige in to work with Kingy.
The crowd was given as 28,834,( very generous!!!) I reckon there was only about 16/17,000 still in there
( including away fans) when the 2nd half kicked off, fans are voting with their feet.
Something needs to change or gates of under 20,000 will become the norm and we will be caught up in a relegation battle that this lot wont get us out of !

And breathe Thorney… but I feel your pain.

A fast start? At kick off we immediately passed the ball back to Begović who hoofed it upfield aimlessly. All part of the pre-conceived cunning master plan no doubt as we did exactly the same thing at the restart for each of their three goals. A negative approach symptomatic of the whole of the first half.

Whatever happened at half time (and it wasn’t just the welcome substitution of Winks and Farce coupled with the brief renaissance of Soumaré and Skippy) to change our mindset should be replicated hereon in. Why the fuck we didn’t start yesterday’s game that way is a mystery.

Edit to add: MON?? NFP + King?? Pure fantasy and no thank you.
