For all of weaknesses, getting caught the wrong side, grabbing at shirts etc, I have to be honest and acknowledge that he was in despair on a number of occasions yesterday when he had the ball at his feet looking for a pass and there was simply nothing available.

I saw him on at least 3 occasions with his arms out wide suggesting to others, 'At least give me an option and show for me' but he got nothing in response. On one occasion he looked at Enzo as if to say 'What chance have I got of finding a pass if players don't show', or perhaps he was suggesting, 'What chance have I got of playing an out ball under your shite system?'

I remember when he went of those runs upfield when we were doing well he just went on and on into the opposition box brilliant.
Afterwards Enzo was asked what he thought about it ? His response was I don't want to see that sort of thing.

I said exactly the same yesterday wints. Chowdhury just looks after himself. He kept giving suicidal passes to his fellow defenders on at least 50% of occasions. As for Vestergaard and his tippy tappy bromance with Winks? What does it achieve.
I’m seriously thinking, and have thought parts of this for months is that Enzo doesn’t know what to do. He’s thought out this pass out from the back bringing Ricky into midfield but the opposition managers who generally aren’t that good in this division have still worked out what to do. BC just stifled the midfield yesterday ( thought James was great) as other teams have done meaning Faes for example doesn’t have an out pass. This is made worse by the fact that Mavididi is not only lazy but he’s actually ’football’ thick not reading the game at all. It’s a mess.

You're so right about the Ricky pass. He drops into full back when needed, but the becomes centre mid when we have possession, taking the ball off Vestergaard of Faes and distributing it properly. Without him we have no means of progressing through the middle.

the confidence of the players as shot it, when they don't want the ball, we are in trouble. That's the benefit of introducing new young players, they are full of self believe and want to show what they can do, this often lifts the team.
