Would You Take A Draw?

Bang on.

I posted on an earlier thread what we could look fwd to in the shape of excuses from the opposition (pretty much what kp has condensed above, in fact) but we have to be able to take such slights on our way to becoming an established ECL club.

As long as the manager plays his part with positivity by actually talking up the Club which pays him, rather than sending msgs to the players that he expects to be rinsed by those with much larger resources (do these people really have significantly larger resources anyway?) we will be much of the way there.

BLUE ARMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I fear our manager could buck the job up right enough.
I'd take a draw in fairness

A draw certainly would not be bad, but this really is a chance for us to make a statement. We should go in there with nothing to fear.

A defeat will really knock our confidence for this season and add enough doubt that we won’t go on to win the league whereas a win is the opposite, it will really boost us and galvanise our squad and give us the belief that anything’s possible. On this basis a draw ain’t so bad at all.

Yet I feel that something very good is brewing down at Belvoir Drive this season, we can smell revenge for last season’s theatrics and I’m sure we know all about their record and what happened in 1981.

So no I wouldn’t take a draw. I would rather see us walk onto the pitch and see how the battle ensues. We have much to gain and some to lose.

Bloody exciting again though eh chaps. 👍

How the faack do you work that out, Daz????
Chelsea have 15 points. They will have 18 if they beat Newcastle.
And if we get a draw at Anfield we will have 19 points and will be top.

I was speaking that if they beat Newcastle they go top. I thought the question was whether we will be top before our game.

Villa would have gone ahead of us at the summit if they won their game in hand.

Then they lost today.

Not a good day for the Midlands today. Forest and Derby lost (shame) as did Villa and West Brom. Cov and Brum drew 0-0 on Friday. But we don’t care about them do we?

Wouldn’t be a disaster so we have to be careful not to pile pressure in ourselves to ‘have to win etc’ but have to agree with kp and Bruin with most of what they say.
we can’t be seen a settling for second best and Brendon please talk us up we’re a great side at the minute even without Ricky and wilf.

Agreed Adders.
Really looking forward to the game and can't wait.
Will be interesting what team BR selects.
