Worst car

Soho has elsewhere set the bar pretty low with his motley collection of Marinas, Morris Oxfords, Ford Anglias and Simcas.
But I reckon my Talbot Solara in '94 is worse. No redeeming characteristics whatsoever
 
Had a Megane that used to randomly lose power and the steering would lock. Kept with it for a while, but started to sweat a bit when the steering would lock on roundabouts.
 
My first car was a Ford anglia estate bought from my college mate in 1969 for £30,green with yellow bumpers PRY135, three speed gearbox, me and two mates went to the 1970 Bath festival in it half way there second gear went so,,, we were left with first and third, all the way down the fosse way so we would go like hell down the hills to get a good run up the next till we had to change to first, hell of a queue behind us, happy days

I had a Talbot Horizon which was pretty grim.
 
I went from Earl Shilton to Hinckley Town FC in a Bond Bug, When I got there I kissed the ground
 
Had a Hillman Imp as my first car.

Slightest sign of Rain or Snow and the front wheels changed to be a pair of skis

Only redeeming factor was you could undo the engine mounts, push the car forwards and pick the engine up to work on it

Blimey. Three mates and I also attended the Bath ferstival (at the Bath & West Showground) in 1970, but in a Ford Anglia saloon. Got home on the Monday with a sunburned face then embarked on 48 years a (wage) slave on the Wednesday.
 
Bought a G reg Morris 1100 in 1978. Around £300 from memory. Got stopped by a cop a few months later who told me it was "crabbing". Dodgy sub frame. Heap of junk. Sold it to a bloke who looked like David Essex's ugly brother for £140 with no MOT.

I had 2, yes 2 Talbot Solara's. The first was great did 45k miles in 2 years. Thought I'd have another. Utter dogshite. Never completed a journey without breaking down. Vowed then never to buy another car made in co*!
 
Like SteveYork, I once had a Talbot Horizon. Strictly speaking I bought it for Mrs Wints when the returned to work after we had the kids, but it was me who ended up having to usd it.

I had an Austin Metro which was awful, I was a bit of a boy racer when I was younger had an XR2, XR3i, Golf GTI cabriolet and that shitty Metro was the only one anyone ever tried to nick!

My worst car was a Vauxhall Viva can't remember the year but it only last about 3months and got dumped

Before the Talbot I drove my then girlfriend's Morris Minor. Subsequently owned (or had provided by company) Astra, BMW 316i, Audi 80, Megane, and another BMW 316i. Haven't had a car now for several years as I lived centrally and barely used it. I've rented pretty frequently which means you almost always get a decent nearly new car and get to try all sorts - good research for when I do get another (it won't be an Astra ...)

Fuck me, Glos! Lady Bracknell springs to mind...
I had mine for two weeks after I blew up my Renault 18, as a stop-gap whilst awaiting a new engine. I grew tired of people pointing and laughing. The most remarkable thing was that when I got rid, there were two mental cases at the auction bidding against each other, and I got nearly my whole £250 back – I was expecting to receive a bill for the cost of having it scrapped!

Actually I think that might have happened. To be fair it was pretty knackered when I bought it just to run around Salisbury where I was working and back and forth home to Oxford. Fair bit of rust as I recall.
