Anyone watching. I am. I’m going to watch it with open eyes, trying not to be prejudiced about what I’ve seen before which IMO has been not the easiest watch. Cmon ladies. Do us proud.
( they keep saying it’s appropriate they’re playing in the ‘theatre of dreams’. Not the way manure have been playing in the last 10 years! )

I've watched some before and the standard of play can be good, until a goalkeeper attempts a dive........

The average attendance across the top division in England is circa 6,000. Yet on the news this morning apart from the racing tips and 2 minutes on Wimbledon there was nothing else.

Has anyone lobbed a keeper yet?

I have been watching now for about 10 minutes. There is skill on show, but the slow pace of the game makes it a somewhat tough watch. They all take far too many individual touches

I also think what has to be taken into consideration is that it’s the first match and they’ll be nerves. None of these players especially the Austrians will have played in front of 75000 fans.
It’s an ok watch ATM. I think England will get a couple more in the 2nd half

I’m watching. Was quite looking forward to it. I do watch any football that is available to be fair. Watched Leicester women a few times instead of whatever PL or EFL game was on - that’s a hard watch.

The best thing imo is women in general just play the game. No diving and cheating to gain advantage. No Richarlisons rolling around as if they have been decapitated. The interest will never be the same as the men's game, but I'm pleased for them to have a platform to show that they should be allowed their moment.
I'm not denying their moment, but lets not pretend that more people are interested in women's football than championship, league 1 and 2 mens football. It's woke brainwashing, no fucker is watching it.

So not watched to much Women's International Football then? The Dagos and eyeties are on par with their male (allegedly) counterparts

Why can't people just recognise that there's an agenda, and it's near the top of it.
I watch enough football, mainly stuff that I actually give a shit about. If I want to watch more, it'll be the kids coming through to the City first team.
Why there's any need to continually signal that you watch something, or that somehow it's great (or shit), or that others should also watch it, is beyond me.

Why people need to continuously signal that they’re ‘real men’ and don’t like womens football is beyond me.
75000 have rocked up to watch it so clearly it’s becoming more popular.
If it upsets old reactionaries then al the better. 😏

Signalling that they're real men! Is that what it is? That's a very woke opinion of yours. I would say it's just pointing out that if there was a measure of what football people want to watch, I would put money on that women's football would be at the very bottom behind Prem, Championship, League 1, League 2, and even probably non league games. You know that really, I know that, we all know that really don't we? Yet women's football is pushed to the top with faux interest levels created by the media for the woke people to lap up.

Precisely. Virtually anything that's advertised enough will become 'popular' to some extent. It's just another thing like 'Hundred Cricket'. Why are we all expected to enthuse about it - or of course be called dinosaurs / "old reactionaries" / misogynists / sexists / gammons? Not everyone is happy to lamely follow the agenda, like some on here seem to.

Because it makes Hackney still think he's cool and down with the kids. Ignore them for they know not what they do.

I know a good few women who think it's an appalling spectacle, so I'm not sure about the correct label for them?

I don’t watch womens football but didn’t feel the need to signal about it.
75000 people don’t watch a non league game.

There you go again with your woke bollocks. I wasn't signalling anything, I was explaining why it's quite clearly woke brainwashing to pretend that it has the interest that they pretend it has.

75000 people went to watch the rolling stones.
I could understand that, though. They've proved themselves over time. But hype like the BBC are involved with - partly cos it's one of the few sports that they can afford the rights to - just reminds me of the bollocks spouted by boxing promoters trying to sell their latest so-called "world title fight" as something meaningful.

So there weren’t 75000 watching the game?
Is woke your new favourite word? Do your kids think you’re a throwback and scared of the modern world? Thought you were groovier than that.
