Why?

More are now questioning rodgers....still a few hardliners as there were with puel...but he's definitely losing support.

Is anyone surprised, shocked, even disappointed by today? Its the self, same crap thats been dished up for two years or so. It aint gonna change untill the ne on the managers door does.
Have you not seen how much arsenal have spent this season and we were unlucky last week.

Why does it matter if someone is in a job ?

Fofana, Youri, Madders are all in a job, it don't stop the vultures circling

It doesn't matter what name is on the door if its user asks for money to refresh the playing staff and gets nothing.

But a good manager should be able to address long standing defensive issues such as corners.
Yet here we are two games in, and still making the same errors. Surely after more than 40 Prem games of giving soft and poor goals away, you have to question why the manager can't find a reasonable answer to these issues.
You put your hand up when quality players score quality goals against you. That's acceptable when you are playing some of these great teams, but the times we shoot ourselves in the foot is not.

Seems odd to me that our elite manager has had only one winger (Barnes) since the end of last season but has been planning to play a 433 system and now with one injury he's completely changed the set up and gone off plan to a back 5. It's maybe what elite managers do but it's not easy for me to understand

It needs to go back to a 4 at the back....5 at the back plus Ndidi and we've leaked 6 in 2 games.
Plus (and this really winds me up) vardy dropping right back to defend...keep him forward.

Brauny, BR has recruited a set piece specialist. And some of the planned player recruitment was designed to address this issue with a dominating centre back on the agenda. As I've said before, all the coaching in the world is wasted if players don't get their heads on the ball as often as their opponents.
It has been clear for some time we are soft centred as a team. Piper on Saturday said we had a soft underbelly which is essentially the same thing.
If you want to criticise the manager perhaps he has an overemphasis on technical ability and formation at the expense of the physical
nature of the Prem which we are told is what marks it out from its continental equivalents.
Put another way, all teams need a blend of artists and tough guys and perhaps we don't have enough of the latter...

The really frustrating thing is we have played that attacking football and it got us two 5th place finishes and a hairs breadth away from 4th place.

Now we seem devoid of ideas on how to attack.

I understand why we might have played super defensive and boring football last season when we had all the injuries. I also said last season at the start maybe he has his eye on a strong finish, season management rather than the burn out we had in those two seasons.

However this season we have no reason to be defensive. In November we will have a 6 week break from the game, time to recharge and go again. We also don’t have the distraction of European football to contend with this season.

We lost to Arsenal, fine. We always do. They will have a great season this season. They have recruited well.

Brentford was by all accounts a shit show at the end which may have been avoided by making a few more substitutions.

Southampton this weekend is massive. Lose that and I can‘t see how he can keep his job. Will the players be playing to lose, to get him out?

I know it’s hard with all the speculation going on about half of our team but that’s Rodgers job to get them motivated whatever way he can so they deliver on the pitch.
