Because they would have sussed out Rudkin straight away!!!!!!!!!!!
So he went for the easy option, but remember whelan would have a big say in it aswell.
 
The worst answer to this question is that he didn't go for anyone for two weeks.
Months too late to sack Rodgers, and zero plan for what to do next.

Took him two weeks to get his head out of his arse, and then he appoints a guy who was sacked in his last two jobs and stands there with hands in pockets, or arms folded, as the goals fly in.
