Whats The Latest On The Gate Hangs Well?

From last nights mercury

The previous business owner ran the pub for more than nine years and according to Everards, the business is in a great place but has huge potential for someone to come in and grow it in many ways.

The brewery is seeking someone who is experienced in the hospitality industry and looking for their next challenge.

Everards says it sees this as a great opportunity for someone looking to really get involved and be part of a welcoming community. According to the brewery, it would suit someone with catering skills, to push the food offer and develop areas of the pub including the function room and outside space that have not been utilised to their full potential.

“We are looking for a friendly character with hospitality experience, preferably bringing some catering knowledge with them as food is the heart of this business” said business relationship manager for Everards Matt Crehan.

“It’s a truly great pub and we know that the right person can really develop this business and help it reach its full potential. The pub gets lots of passing trade and is also well supported by the local community and we think whoever progresses with us and the Gate, will be very happy here. I’d urge anyone interested to give me or one of the team a call and see if we can work together to bring this pub back to where it should be – at the heart of its community.”

The public areas of the pub, in Lewin Bridge, include a lounge, bar, function room, kitchen and outbuildings.

Private areas include a living room, bathroom, two double bedrooms, a kitchenette/utility room, office/single bedroom and a garage.

One local commentated "If you can massacre a simple menu, know how to keep red wine cold and white wine at room temperature, and overcharge for all drinks, you could step straight into the previous owner's shoes."
