People who don't wear masks are selfish and don't care about giving someone a deadly disease or their family and friends.

And there we have it.

I am going to avoid a mask and social distancing from Monday, a lot of people feel the same.

I shall be in the pub buying anyone at the bar a drink.

That’s why a lot of vulnerable people will feel devastated next week and unable to leave the house .
Even if you do believe the rubbish posted on here , the vast majority believe the creditable peer reviewed scientific data . The virus is running rife putting the unvaccinated in intensive care and causing further cancellations in routine treatments. You prove the folly of relying on common sense and such attitudes guarantee a lengthy Autumn lockdown .

Morning FG.

As someone who has suffered quite badly health wise over the last year I could easily place myself in your vulnerable people group. I have told my story of being denied effective cardiac treatment many times.

However, I still have my cognitive functions and have come to the conclusion, largely from the same information that you have, that we are being played.

In fact is is playing out exactly as predicted, a loosening of the regulations to give people an idea of what they are missing, followed by a lockdown in the autumn, all blamed on the anti-vaxxers and those failing to follow the 'advice'. It will be destructive and divisive, possibly causing a complete breakdown in society, which is exactly what is intended.

It is a classic psychological operation and a lot of people are falling for it.

The most respected, accredited and brilliant scientists and 95% of the population are right .
We are in the middle of a predictable pandemic. Due to the appalling way our government has handled it we currently have the highest infection rate in the world and are about to become the only country to loosen all restrictions.
Inevitably many unnecessary deaths will occur largely in the unvaccinated who Johnson clearly sees as dispensable .
It’s a huge gamble hoping the vaccine holds and yes it may, I fear, backfire and we will be fully locked down again this Autumn. it won’t be because of some globalist plan it will be because we have been led by a populist idiot whose only concern is his voting base ahead of public health .

To me the truth is self evident. You have your own 'truth' (including your made up numbers). That in normal situations is perfectly fine, no bother.

What does bother me is that you are being manipulated into a position that will be divisive and destructive, anyone not toeing the line will be demonised and discriminated against. I think it is inevitable, cultural apartheid based on compliance.

Brave new world indeed.

You keep banging on about made up numbers . Given the level of vaccination take up , death snd infection rates and personal experience of talking to probably 50 people I know well and colleagues I’d say 95% isnt far off .
Obviously if you disbelieve all the medical data as part of ‘the plan’ ( though i’m still waiting to hear what on earth ‘the plan’ is ) then you’ll never accept reality .
AFC -I sincerely hope you don’t pay a high price for exposing yourself to infection with no vaccine protection .

My colleague has been extremely poorly on and off for 16 months since her infection last April . She remains unable to walk further than the end of her street and suffers still from
appalling headaches. She is 64 and was otherwise fit and healthy . It’s a horrible and unpredictable disease .

I have respect for yourself despite thinking you have this horribly wrong . I’m ignoring the mindless moronic freaks who no doubt think this is funny and post pathetic laughing emojis .

Which is why I am not arguing.

Your views are your own, I think that you have been duped, but that isn't important.

What is important is that you have been convinced that it is those people, like me, with a different viewpoint who are causing all the problems, arguing against the narrative for someone like me is fine, I have nothing to lose, but were I in public life or working in a corporate environment, I would be genuinely frightened.

If you have had the Jab why would you be worried?

I’m not particularly. However heard quite a few people who remain extremely vulnerable if they get infected say they are very concerned about next week.
Data suggests the vaccine is around 60% effective at stopping infection and 90% in preventing you becoming seriously ill . Far more likely to be seriously affected if your are immune suppressed apparently .
Maybe good to remember a lot of folk are viewing next week with dread and be sensitive to that .

bnet . Maybe you’d like to explain why you find a very seriously ill lady who has suffered horrible symptoms for 16 months so amusing ?

Hey @AFCDorset have a look at a few websites where people allow parking on their drives for a fee of course, it may be better than going back and forth across London to Westfield.

Or some offer cheaper car parking in a proper car park when bought in advance,

Don’t forget you’ll probably have to pay the congestion charge also.

Morning, thanks for the thought.

Charing Cross Hospital is, in normal London fashion, nowhere near Charring Cross, it is in the Fulham Palace Rd, half a mile or so from Hammersmith Broadway. A built up area so sadly no driveways, anyway Mrs AFC is prepared to risk life and limb and visit Westfield Shepherds Bush (not Stratford, she is not that daft) to look at some shoes (its always shoes).

She can do that whilst I get prodded and poked, meet up when I'm done. Should work, no public transport involved.
