What was his Newcastle record in 2016? They also went down 😬

However both those examples are with inferior squads imo , and I rate benitez, I think he'd keep us up. Wonder if he'd accept contract to the summer...

He managed 10 games in that first season with Newcastle. They got 13 points but still went down because Sunderland went on an amazing run. I reckon 13 would keep us up - and we have a much better squad that Newcastle did then.
 
He's drifted to 11/2 this afternoon.

Qué?! I flipping hope this is more unfounded speculation. I'd rather have Manuel from Fawlty Towers.
 
I doubt we could get a better fireman, from what's available. He'd pick the best side, no favourites, and organise them.

Whether he could motivate them is another matter. He could do with Cambiasso, Huth, Schmeichel and Morgan in the dressing room.
