We are getting a bigger stadium.

AlgarFox

Roofer
An extra 8000 seats. Just announced on SSN. Not sure when but there has been a lot of speculation about this for ages. Added that a public consultation will take place in August.

I've switched the TV on for the first time in ages, can't watch the bull shit anymore like millions of others, but LCFC news is different 😁

More progress in the correct direction.
Excellent news.
By the way you are correct Bnet, the TV is full of trash.
Can I suggest watching Love Island at least you will see scantily dressed females 😏

Lots of people on social media saying it should be 45k+, but another 8k on the East Stand is probably the easiest to get through planning and actually erect. Hopefully they will keep the away fans cap at 3200 and allow the extra seats for home fans. With so many of the young season ticket holders reaching 18 this year, we need to get more kids in for the future. Will be interesting to see if there is scope for another expansion in the future.

I'll try it but do l have to have the sound on ?

Glad they are keeping the arena part.

New hotel, apartments and multi-storey car park.

No mention of a museum yet though?

needs to be at least 8, but it will need extending again in a few years, we are attracting support from further afield. A mate of mine who's a casual Forest fan from Long Eaton as ask me if l can get him tickets for Wembley as they follow Leicester.

40,000 is about right for the moment, certainly what I had in mind, if we sustain the recent success we've had then perhaps look at expanding capacity in ten years time.

It’s such a shame this couldn’t have been done during the Covid fan lockdown last season. But I’m assuming they’ll do what they did at Anfield so little disruption.
We’ll have no problem selling the extra 8000. It’s all about the future and it’ll give youngsters and families in particular a chance to get cheap ST’s

Museum would be a fantastic idea
I third the museum suggestion, and hope it comes out in the public consultation. We need a place for people like Dave Smith and Paul Taylor to archive their troves of knowledge before it’s too late, and for the likes of the Club Historian to display it, and the countless other gems that I am sure are currently hidden because there is no permanent place to display them.

They were on about a "fanzone" too on 8am RL news. Didn't say if there would be any corporate boxes included or not? Bigger club shop being moved to that side too!

I saw the Fanzone for the original plans.

Big fuck off screens and loads of paving, food outlets, bars etc.

Wonder if there is still a plan to incorporate the memorabilia left for Vichai; in the stand?

Hope we won’t all be snuggled off to the West stand and play in front of half capacity next season . Hopefully they’ll start next May and get a lot done pre season .

If they do things how Liverpool did, then there will be no disruption to the season.

I’ve heard the existing changing room area was being considered as the place for the museum, with the new stand becoming the new ‘main’ stand with changing rooms etc
