WBA (H) boycott

We tried to be ambitious and mix it regularly with the big boys. It was a gamble worth taking unfortunately it didn't work out and we are unfortunately in the position we are now.
It's not a gamble at all, its achievable with proper management just look we've been replaced by the likes of Brighton,Bournemouth,Fulham and Brentford all making a better fist of it and all similar or maybe even smaller sized than us

But we were with the big boys and doing it well. It was a golden opportunity to be at the very least a well-established Premier League club. Everything was in place; all we needed to do was keep the ball rolling. But no, we had rank amateurs running the club, and little by little it all fell apart. Top was in charge, or at least the buck should stop with him. There has been no accountability for the complete behind-the-scenes disaster, no one named or sacked, just silence. How can anyone still back KP to put things right and get us back to the prem ? You know it's not going to happen while they still own the club. Forcing their hands to sell up is the only way we, as a club, can move forward.

If anyone thinks KP can get us out of this downward spiral, I would be very interested to know how.
I totally agree with this
We had the opportunity to become an established Premier League club with an annual turnover of around
£175m per year
We were allowed to lose £35m a year to comply with PSR
Our outgoings then could be up to £210m a year to comply
To be in the position we are now is total mismanagement , how we ever get out of this spiral I find difficult to see
The only possibility if no further funds are injected to develop young talent and sell on
This is a very long haul so if you are in favour of the current ownership buckle up

They have not paid looney wages to fringe players and let great talent leave for free
Proper management is the key in your statement

Filbo none of them you mentioned are regularly challenging the big boys. The players we bought unfortunately didn't work out but they all had good pedigree before we bought them. I e Soumare just won french league and Daka had been scoring regularly for his previous club. Even Vestergaard on the whole was a sensible signing he was a proven premiership player. Unfortunately for whatever reason these haven't worked out.

Don't blame me guv! Not guilty m'lud.

Sport is about peaks and troughs. When I was at school we were division1 and Liverpool were Division 2. I regarded the likes of Bournmouth Brighton and Brentford as small Div 3/4 clubs, In 62/63 Mancity were relegated to Division 2 with Leyton Orient. We finished 4th after leading the pack for several weeks. The 2 Sheffield clubs were mid table and the division also included Blackpool and Blackburn. My point is that we have seen good times and bad times in the last 60 odd years that Ive been watching and I dont think I would swap those years (including 2016-2021} for 63 years of 15th places in Division 1 (premier league to the youngsters) . We know that Top has mismanaged our club but would you want to go back to the Needham days when as soon as we had a good team the selling started? Its not Tops fault that his job was thrust upon him by the trgic death of Vichai and also he didnt cause covid which was the main cause of King Powers loss of revenue. SACK THE BOARD-KINGPOWER OUT was the banner I saw held up by a group of relative youngsters against Derby but without a viable alternative plan it was a waste of a bedsheet.
RANT OVER - TIN HAT ON

Too right I can't. Absolute rubbish watched in the warmth of my own home - I'm not going to do a 70 mile round trip to watch dross like that in minus 3!

What did you want them to add to the bed sheet. A proper drafted out buisness plan highlighting the next steps after getting rid of top?
Of course top needs to go. His own family have got him out the way at king power due to his complete incompetence at running a buisness. But he’s still in control of the business that is our football club & he’s screwing us up to a complete new level.
Barring a very small amount of playing staff the whole club stinks of failure.

2 in Sk1 not going

A well spoken piece on the When your smiling podcast on Radio Leicester from around
10 minutes regarding the boycott
The guy speaking is exactly right , the fans can make a differencec

Are they making a better fist of it?
When did they win the Premier League, win an FA Cup, Charity Shield or get to the quarters of the Campions League and finish 5th two years running?
They’re not even close.

The boycott is beginning to get national coverage
This is not a good look for the ownership and the Sky coverage will show the empty seats
Going to be the lowest league attendance in over 10 years on Monday

I have supported us for over 45 years and I have seen us at our lowest ebb and I have also experienced our highest highs over the last 10 years however that does not mean that this current decline and the direction of travel it is heading should be accepted or justified just because of our previous history.

Make no mistake the level of incompetence, the lack of accountability, the lack of responsibility towards the club by Aiyawatt and Rudkin to have taken us from where we were to where we are heading, the potential ramifications and consequences of this decision making is completely unacceptable and unforgivable.

We have been in administration before. it is horrible, good people losing their jobs, local businesses/suppliers not getting paid, the fear we could genuinely cease to exist or the worry as to who would save us. Here we are now after being in a superb position and an excellent business model now with it all in tatters, we sit in the bottom half of the championship with a squad of very overpaid players, a bang average manager who is managing to make us worse than the sum of our parts and in financial meltdown, whilst the owner is conspicuous in his absence and his partner in crime has been given a new role/promotion to further protect him and reward him for his part in destroying our club from the inside.

This is hurting me more because I know and can see what a disgusting fall from grace this has been, how anyone who supports our club can just shrug their shoulders and accept this or worse still defend what has happened is absolutely beyond me.

Whether the boycott is the best way to get attention and support we will see but at least something is starting to happen because what has happened to our club in the last 5 years is mis-management of the highest level.

Will, I admire your commitment to your cause, but I don't think the club gives a crap about them. You see they have your money for your seats and still put you down as attendees anyway.
As I said previously they need to look further into next season
The club have the fans money but there will be less sales in the concourse
and club shop
They can put their heads in the sand like other issues but this is not going away

As i sit in the East Stand the sky cameras never pan down that far, anyway.
They can take my money but I won't be renewing while the Chuckle Brothers are still here.
