Vestergaard

Yes. If I were young Luke from Syston I would be wondering how the hell Bertrand was getting in the team ahead of me.

As for Vestergaard, I remember being alarmed at the Wolves game when, shortly after Vestergaard came on, Adama Traore knocked him over (without fouling him) before wasting a very good chance. "Well, Traore is a unit," I tried to reassure myself. "He could knock anybody over."

It's harder to reassure yourself when you realise that a skinny waif like Matěj Vydra can knock Vestergaard over just as easily.
Many congrats on the diacritical mark above Vydra's christian name.

I personally think he's been one of our worst recent signings but needs must as we desperately needed a centre back.

& here was me thinking that kasper would have said “ I dread it when he’s picked, I know I’m in for a torrid afternoon “
Looking forward to vestergaard coming out with “ yeah, kasper is one of the best, his ability at commanding his box, coming off his line & passing are next f#####g level”.

On a previous thread you and Oadlad thought he was a good signing, repeat he and his Southampton mate are not good enough.
Yes I thought he would be but I'm happy to say I'm wrong. I knew he was slow but I didn't realize how slow and for someone very tall he's not very good in the air.

Can't remember saying he was a good signing, mainly because I didn't.
He and RB were signed to address a short/medium term gap and experience was essential. So the signings were understandable, both players with good international and Premier pedigree..
But YV was part of the makeshift defence last night which RL described as 'unbelievably awful' so clearly things are not good. Cags and DA were also well exposed I heard. 'Resting' our key players on top of already unavailable key men did not help either.
Seeing the logic of management decisions is not the same as claiming they have worked out as such decision making is subject to the reality of results.
And that is true support not the knee jerk reactions of those who panic at the first sign of problems. These times are the first test of adversity in years for BR and will define his ability.
