According to Capology he is on 35,000 euros plus bonus a week at Cremonese.
It must be around 12-18 months ago when I suggested we offer JV9 about £40K per week plus some high performance bonus's such as getting so many goals, getting promoted, good run in the Cups etc etc
Whether he would have stayed I don't know, I expect he could see the way the side was shaping up and decided it was time to move on.
I don't think there's any point in regretting him leaving.
He owed us nothing, he'd achieved everything beyond our wildest dreams and there were also groans about him not being able to cut it anymore.
He went at exactly the right time and who could blame him for having probably one last adventure to round off one of footballs great stories.
He didn't get to the top table till very late, but my god he sure did make the most of every moment once he'd reached his peak.
Personally I hope he never comes back in any managerial role because it doesn't very often work out and the fans should always remember him for what he achieved with Leicester City on the pitch.
Two typical Vardy goals. We’ve seen both of these many times. The first one on one and coolly slots it past the keeper. The second is pure instinct. Watch him just as the guy crosses it. He behind the defender but he’s anticipated the cross and gets in front and nicks the goal. A few weeks short of his 39th birthday. I’m glad he’s gone and not having to put up with the crap we’re witnessing. He’s too good for that.
Was talking to an old FA coach on Sunday he was talking about strikers mainly centre forwards.
He said he had always maintained that the very good ones you could never ever coach.
Its all about brawn brain and feet, its inbred its instinctive just knowing when to move where to move in seconds that makes them stand out
The man is a natural goal scorer
Compare this to the lightweights we have masquerading as strikers
Two goals between them in forty plus games , one a penalty
Glad to see Jamie doing well but he is a huge part why this current team is so crap
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, the greatest player we have ever had.
What he helped us achieve, his consistency, his loyalty his enthusiasm, his entertainment value all allow me to come to this conclusion, and I’ve seen all of our best players since 1968.
How have we ended up with Daka up front on twice the money that Vardy is currently earning, and he has still scored more goals in 8 games this season than all of ours added together
