Don't know whether this belongs in this forum or in the Moaning Line but for the life of me if Biden has a 17 point lead in the polls why is the betting so close? It's now odds on 1 to 2 Biden and 7 to 4 against Trump and yet a 17 point lead would imply the odds should be a lot, lot more one sided.

I got an early payout on Clinton winning last time so shows what the polls mean.
 
How is it that only The Democrats can fiddle postal votes?

There is of course absolutely no proof to back up the claim of fraud via postal votes.

The main fraud seems to be (as per last time) people losing the right to cast their vote.
 
The more Trump appears to commit political suicide the more likely it is Americans will vote for him. Bizarre
 
If Trump does not win, the USA is finished. The Democrats will 'pack' the Supreme Court, change the Constitution and turn the USA into a defacto one party state.

Not my country so not my say, but I think we might be looking at a second 'Civil War'.

Where are you getting this from?
If Trump gets his way the Supreme Court will be 'packed' 6-3 to The Republicans. The orange fool has even been talking about over turning Roe v Wade.
Come back out of the rabbit hole, I've a coffee waiting for you to sniff.
 
17 point lead nationally, but its the electoral college that counts and so many states are wafer thin one way or t'other.
we know the polls underestimated trump last time, so if its anything like the same this time in those swing states it'll be a close thing indeed.

and then the legal fight will start.
 
Both Biden and Harris refused to answer the question on packing the Supreme Court. They would expand it to 13 or 15 members by appointing democrats, this is unprecedented.

Trump, as the sitting president, putting forward his candidates is entirely constitutional, it's the way the system works, it is not 'packing'.

Roe vs Wade as it is currently interpreted is an abomination. Planned parenthood and associated groups want to make late term abortion easier. I can not express how vile I consider this to be.

If there is going to be a 'race' war it is being 'stoked' by the marxist groups behind BLM, Antifa and the rest, financed and supported by the Democrat 'donor class'. It will be a war against American capitalism and democracy.

Evidence of voter fraud by the Democrats is plentiful, however it is ignored and suppressed by MSM and social media and ignored by Google. Do your own research.
 
It will come down to a couple of hundred thousand votes in a few states and, beyond that, quite possibly down to just a few thousand votes in a few precincts. I don't really know why they bother with national polling over there. Just follow where the TV advertising budgets are being spent...

Americans I speak to say that ordinarily no one with such a huge poll lead would lose.
Their main concern is of Trumps loyal fan base, the fact that voter suppression is in full swing & people may not bother to vote as it's considered a forgone conclusion.
 
The world will not survive another 4 years of the treacherous perverted crook. He may be desperate enough to try and start a civil war to avoid going to prison for the rest of his miserable life .

I do my research and form my own opinions. I find the anti-Trump sentiment on here quite astonishing, especially as I would have thought that many contributors are old enough and wise enough to see through all the lies.

Still never mind, it's only politics! In America!

Not as if it will have any effect on us.

i find astonishing the amount of people who say they don't do "left/right" politics are, almost without exception, trump supporters.

actually, that's a lie. i don't find it astonishing at all.
 
l don't see why we have to be a "supporter". I would hope Trump wins thats all because l believe hes the best choice for the world. I'm not going into the pluses as it starts of all the "no it iisn't" comments from people who have no idea what they are and are blindly following their red/blue indoctrination. Why pick sides ? why invent sides ? we all want the same thing its just we have different opinions os how to get there. The situation i'm in of beingr ight all of the time, l have to waste my time trying to explain the facts and l can't be bothered with it.
 
Modern politics is dominated by the the left, worse it is dominated by the hardcore authoritarian left.

I'm an old bloke these days, not politically active at all. In the 70s and early 80s I was quite involved in 'street level' activism, as a 'socialist' obviously, quite involved with the ANL through my music business connections. Facing down the BNP in Southall in 79 and again in 81 at the siege of Hambrough Tavern. Brixton in the early and mid 80s.

It was simple in those days, clear cut racism that any thinking person could and did oppose, Socialist worker and other hard left groups were outliers, most of the demonstrators were fairly normal people.

Now I see the left dominated by hard core marxists, intersectionality is all they have, it dominates everything.

Disagree with the approved line and you are shouted down, no platformed, 'cancelled' whatever. Nasty.

l see people totally closed off to logic AFC. They don't seem to know their facts and because its just a matter of shouting everything they think they don't like down, they don't seem to bother using common sense. It seems moronic to me. Constantly this racism get out is used, how do you know if someones racist if you don't know them. I've been called it on here many of times, but l defy anyone to show anything that i've done or said racist. The people who scream racist the most are the ones who haven't been brought up with different races, they seem to be mostly middle class. We got on, there was never any of this so called racism they shout about. They weren't there so how do they know ? Politics only works if they divide us, red/blue, Protestant/catholic, black/white, middle-class/working class, north/south. The ones who use this and let them divide us are the ones holding a free society from happening, instead of elite control that as always had us as slaves.

Was you at the Leicester NF march in the late '70's by the way ? Loads of the football lads were, and it wasn't black against white as there were both together mostly. It also wasn't sides, they were there because it was going to be a laugh (trouble to be more honest really).

Quite heavily involved in the 'soft' Rock against Racism stuff on the BBC along with the more assertive Anti-Nazi League as we moved into the punk era.

Plenty of gigs with Aswad and the Misty in Roots Collective. Lots of benefits, not just ANL stuff but some excellent outings with Misty supporting women's refuges and some civil rights stuff.

It was so simple and straightforward then, not a lot of politics really, mostly common sense and decency and very broad based. Misty playing at the Hibernia Club in Hammersmith in support of a women's refuge supporting mostly Irish women. You couldn't make it up.

l was around that area, mid '70's on. Used go Hammersmith Palais and boozed in Nelsons in Shepperds Bush centre amonst others. The Greyhound on Fulham Palace road was a good venue for bands if that was your thing but l guess we would have had different types of hang outs. l had no interest in politics bak then and oly took interest recently as the world is upside down. The Lewisham was a big'n and was talking to a load of lads who'd been there at the Leicester one, some proper loons.
 
The Greyhound, the Nashville, Golden lion among others. The punk thing was mostly good fun. Ran a live sound production company at the time so we did whatever paid, everything from Splodginess Abounds at the Greyhound, Siouxie and the Banshees at the Nashville to fitting radio mics to Miss world finalists at the Albert hall. Strange times.
