Transport

Last week I had a survey through the Door
For Leicester bus services I think I know why, as the estate has a service of sorts but with little support.
Being as I could only answer one question "How many times do you use the service"
I got to thinking and wondering just how many people do use the service in this age of the jamjar??

Down in London the OAP Freedom Pass was a fantastic thing. Could swan all over Greater London by bus, tube and train for sweet nothing.
Virtually unlimited as to time - except couldn' t use the overground trains before 09.30am Monday to Friday. Not that I wanted to.
Marvellous boon for retirees.
Sadly I haven't been on any form of public transport since March.

I think I have been on a bus about 2 times in the last 20+ years
On a couple of occasions recently where I could have got the bus, I opted to walk instead. Buses seem overpriced to me and I can't be arsed to stand around waiting so it's shanks's pony for me if I can't go by car

Covid came weeks after I got round to getting my buss pass. Never used it. Buses go round with only the driver on board.

Buses in Lowestoft to get around to the other coastal towns locally are good. Bit more expensive than an oyster card but OK. Handy for pubs etc. Cant complain.
