Trade deal with India.

Yes it is.

It'll be better when it is a complete free-trade deal.

Maybe we can buy 1/130th of Bill Gates on the meantime?

The French have lots of experience of willy waving, hopefully this cold weather will make them think twice

This "deal" with India is tiny and a significant proportion of it, involves a leading vaccine company.

To get a proper deal with India, the UK government will have to agree to freedom of movement for Indian workers, to come to the UK.

Any Brexit fans in here?

Why will we? I read that the EU are negotiating with India, too. Will freedom of movement be a given in that transaction, too?

First rule of negotiation. 'If it is not in your interest, do not agree to it'.

Someone tell our government.

I always learn cool shit from you smart lot. So, you are telling me that whenever a country agrees a deal to sell stuff to each other, it involves letting each others citizens live and work in each others coutries? Didnt know that.

Always thought the only argument for Brexit would be more Asian immigration given the movement to a more hi-tech economy .
It was the reason a colleague of mine gave when I expressed surprise he’d voted to Leave. Not sure a significant proportion of Brexit voters saw it like that mind .

Why must it mean more immigration from anywhere, over and above what we deem necessary?

It doesn't always. But if you check the finer detail of the deal, it includes the right for young Indians (18 to 30) to come to the UK for up to 2 years; without needing a job offer. Obviously it means Brits can go the other way.

Easier access to UK Visas for all Indian people, will form a key part of the proper trade deal with India; in the near future.

I thought the movement was towards a 'lowest common denominator' economy, according to all the armchair experts around...:p

Yes, thanks Sixy, you are a mine of information. Ive just delved a bit. Up to 3000 Indian graduates can come, and stay for up to 24 months. Thats the kind of migration we want. Young, skilled people, to raise the skills bar in our economy, rater than a vast army of warehouse operatives and auto detailers. Hopefully, they will find us welcoming, and decide to settle permanently.

Weren’t you kicking off last year that the unskilled immigrants had nicked your job. You’ll be completely fucked if the ones coming over have qualifications as well as a will to work.

Never nicked my job Dicksplatt. Im skilled, self employed, never been busier either. Its the low/unskilled that have to compete in an unfair market. Shouldnt you be kipping, ready for your next shadowy night shift?

Woudnt have been Daz, he’s a nice chap. Must have been a figment of your strange imagination.
Yeah, think you’re right.

People at the bottom of the jobs pile were struggling long before brexit. Ive walked round the ball breaking, parasitic recruit ent agencies with my Brother. To be told “dont call us we’ll call you”, time after time. All while EU nationals in the same room have assignments.
How come there are employment agencies in Eastern Europe? Give me strength! To maintain cheap stock levels, of course! Do you think these bastards setting up in other countries is good practice?
How do they live off minimum wage and send money home? They are economic migrants, they havent come for the weather, or to learn Shakespeare. Many of them live cheaply, in rented rooms, within rented houses. They work long hours and send money home. Very admirable, Im not criticising them for it. Things are different for people who have permanent lives, and the commitments that go with them.
So, the analogy doesnt stack up? Lets convert the biccies back to jobs, then. Then tell thirty jobseekers to take one job each. Surely you aren't going to tell me that swelling the applications for jobs with immigrants, doesn't make it harder to get one?

As much as i sympathize with being underpriced out of the employment market, do you really think that employers will magically raise wages in 2021 because EU citizens are no longer doing the jobs, in the middle of a pandemic and recession caused by brexit?

Why would they. They have what they want. A glut of applicants for every shitty job. I know many eu citizens, not one is planning to return to their native countries. Admit it, the maths are irrefutable, more people, less vacancies, lower wages. Those people are up against it because of free movement.

Don’t EVER lie to me again Astley coz I’ll call you out and have yer pants down. “Self employed doing really well” you were trying to go fucking spud picking last year and they didn’t want you! Folk who would rather employ Hamza and Mohammed who can hardly speak English, over you says more about you than them.

Yeah!!! Duuurrrr! I never said anyone took my job! Its those at the low paid end of the jobs market Dicksplatt! It reffered to something of a eureka moment for me, where the EU is concerned. When, I took my brother, who does that kind of work, into Leicester, to trawl around the scumbag agencies looking for work. So, dont ever call me a liar again, or Ill stick my middle finger up and tell you to fuck right off agsin, wierdo!

Ooooh. Don't lie to Dicky, because he's so important.

You checked whether this was some time ago Dick? He did say long before Brexit. Perhaps his brother was the one looking for the job? Perhaps Astley's circumstances have changed since?

Watch out for the Cock from Coventry. Here to judge people.

I pull the pants down of liars and expose their bare arse to the world.
It’s what I do. Careful, it might be you next 😘

If you’re doing so well give your brother a job and pay him a decent wage then.
