We gave them far too much respect,at the end it felt like a boxing match
where we hadn't really laid a glove on them, that said if Carson had been in goal we would have won the game as two out of our 3 chances to score were well saved by Eddison. Barnes could have done better with his header. Maddison had a very quiet game but Vesterguard had a great game as did Niddi. As for the goal "Son of Peter" made another of many bad clearences which started their attack which led to the goal! Ian Nacho and Lookman should have been brought on earlier as we looked more of a threat when they came on On another day we may have got a draw

I thought that Maddison was ineffective again and tielemans had a poor game, (not seen him give the ball away so much before) although that could be due to Maddison going missing. Same with Wilf, he usually wins the ball and finds a blue shirt, but today he gave it away a few times in dangerous areas.

young Barnes looks to have lost a bit of his zippy speed but hopefully that will come with more game time
Johnny the Turk has me shitting it whenever he gets the ball and I think I would have felt safer starting with Amarty or a half fit Evans

Would prefer them to get more game time v Brighton on Sunday. More important game imo.
There will be much rotation in the coming weeks with games coming thick and fast. Of the two games man city and Napoli, Napoli is the one I would rather win as it's very important to get off to a good start in a competition I firmly believe we can win.
Keeping him grounded won't help if he has to win a buckin header

agreed . Reckon we should prioritise winning EL as a route to CL next year . Itās probably most realistic option .
