Can’t understand why we played 3CHs v West Ham at home . Baffling

Typical Rogers he's not attack minded just look at how he lost the plot last season, we needed a proper big center forward and a stopper at the back and we get a fullback , winger and some kid as center back .

I thought that. Rodgers still worries about the opposition too much especially at home.

Against the top teams yes maybe play 3 at the back, especially away but not at home against a team that may well finish in the bottom half of the league this season.

It's baffling and stupid.
I used to love it when Ranieri accepted responsibility for cock ups and made immediate changes at half time.

I think he feels 3 at the back stretches opposition more especially with the likes of Ricardo, castagne and Justin proven to be very good going forward. I don’t think he’s thinks of it as negative and nor should we. We should’ve been 2 up before they even scored. We had so much space in between the lines but for some poor poor final passes from Tielemans and Perez.

Serious question; is Justin yet proven to be very good going forward?
He gets beyond his last man. Even when things are going against him time after time he makes the runs unlike the charlatan we’ve flogged for a fortune!
He’s 22. Being played out of position and 2 divisions up from where he originally came. Is he European quality? No. Is he top 6 quality? No. But today he didn’t cost us the game and is on 5-6 times less pay and experience than those that did flunk today.

So, that's a no then. ;)

The whole side were as culpable as one another today, so yes he did contribute as much as the next guy to the loss.
Also how is his wages an acceptable excuse for being poor?

Never mind about about ,3 CH's be more worried about our bloody awful play we ought to have been full of confidence, but we played like we had lost 5-2 poor distribution little inventiveness and looked frit to death at times it was disgusting play

i was gobsmacked that the formation didn't change at half time. it was clearly clearly not working, yet it took an injury to amartey to make a change, to try something different.

Perez final ball was poor. But so was Tielemans.

The notion of sticking a big man up for a Plan B is the type of crap I'd expect from our forum based on age alone. Part of the problem is sadly our biggest asset for some games - and thats Vardy. He just can't hold the ball up. He can't bring others into the game in tight areas. Players can't peel off him and can't get in behind him because that type of link up is just not in his make up. Granted he was part of the play that got Barnes brilliant but disallowed goal but facts are its a large part of why we fail against West Hams set up. Its also why he has such a great scoring record against the 'Top 6' who don't set up that negatively. But he's untouchable. If Nacho had played that same role yday we'd have got in behind them more. When he came on he made a difference straight away.

Sticking Under on in that type of game was nonsense when he did and proof that Brendan hasn't learnt a thing but deflects it to say his team - rather than his formation and tactics got something from the game to 'learn about'.

We missed Maddison big time today, he is the one player we have who can unlock those massed defences.
I think we missed Praet a lot too. He's been the glue that has held the midfield together in recent weeks. We just didn't look as confident or composed without him. I hope he's back next week.
