Tielemans

He looked absolutely fucked running back for the second and third goals, the second one he gave up after 5 yards and left it to Mendy.

he ran his socks off all game nobody else was even trying to play forward passes. Mendy played well but all sideways and back.

Needed Ndidi to break up attacks unfortunately last season injuries are catching up with the players.

Kendal’s right. Mendy had another good game for me. Nonsense to say it was back and sideways as not only is he driving forward with the ball but he is passing quicker and forward. Mendys issue was an early yellow. He just couldn’t take risks after. As Kendal said both he and Cags took a beating. A planned, multiplayer professional beating. Soucek should’ve seen a yellow inside first half. Didn’t. Tielemans was tired as pressing for a goal defensively we were exposed and he bore the brunt.

Mendy is proving to be an adequate stand in.
Tielemans performance was bright but west ham set up to nullify any kind of service to vardy.

Shame Amartey done his hamstring he looked competent. Evans legs have gone, Soyuncu struggled with Antonio strength, and was in o mans land for their 1st goal. Justin gives the ball away far too much.

Vardy has the least touches than anyone else on the pitch. We have needed a 2nd striker for ages and simply havent provided one! Barnes is good but not a prolific enough finisher. Nacho has 100% effort but 10% ability.

Praying Edouard comes in from Celtic to offer is a plan B. But frankly I fear the pot is dry at kingpower duty free.

Staying up this season will be an achievement!

Don’t think we’re at any risk of going down. Bottom three places already reserved by Fulham, West Brom and Sheffield United 🤔

losing praet and maddison killed us. zero link up between midfield and attack, look no further than perez. he doesn't find the space that maddison does. he doesn't have the vision of praet. he is always looking for a final, killer, pass - rather than a more constructive one. he also doesn't offer the added defensive cover that praet offers.

Evans legs gone? Jesus amongst some of stuff posted in this message thats pretty close to the pick of the nonsense.

He's been injured. He's missed the first 3 games. He picked up a knock in the previous game. He then got hit by from memory Antonio in a tackle and spent 15 minutes running it off - so far from having his 'legs gone' I just think he tried to play on and play through injury! Without Evans our defence isn't worth sheete.

I actually thought some of Perez's movement before they scored was good & he did get into good positions but his decision making and execution was, not for the first time, execrable. Utterly dreadful.

& who’s fault was mendys early yellow? Ridiculous challenge, the exact same one he did last week against Man City, which again he got booked for. He needs to stay on his bloody feet & think.

Watch his running back for their 2nd and when Rice marauded right through our midfield! Running like concrete in his boots. Dont be surprised if he makes way for Fofana.

After no pre-season, I'm impressed that he's lasted the 90 minutes both times.

He's 32. His legs haven't gone. He was never quick but he's faster than the glacially slow Morgan and a better reader of the game than a single member of our defence. Cags was a mess from start to finish thats your man for the finger pointing.

I don't think Rice by the way gets that far for the crossbar hit if Mendy wasn't already on a yellow.

Soyuncu wasnt much better. Both should be dropped for Villa match. But as has been pointed out, that leaves Morgan, who is passed his best.

Slimani and Wes for that matter would have mixed it with Wet Spams defence. I've said this elsewhere how did Ranieri beat teams like this?

Regarding Tielemans I’ve been impressed with his fitness and influence in games this season. Last seasons in seemed he only had 70 minutes in him but in the first 3 games he’s lasted well. Against West Ham that may have caught up with him ... certainly faded in the latter stages.

I agree Elsie and I've said as such. I think he might've had to work a little harder that game but realistically i think he was just bullied a little and potentially covering more ground due to the lack of Praet. Mendy didn't let him down. I think Justin had a relatively poor game and should've been in that area where the final goal went in.

The Don had Ulloa to bring on for a slight variation of attack, who was twice the player that the hapless Slimani has ever shown himself to be.

Ulloa did the business for us, when it mattered. He had his limitations, but he put a few great shifts in.

It could easily be argued some of the goals Slim scored were just as crucial - especially in the CL.

The issue isn't about lumping it to a big man. The issue is looking for someone to come on to replace Vardy when teams sit back...namely towards the end of a game.

Rodgers is never going to 'put it in the mixer' and linking up and feeding off a central striker when you can't play balls in behind would suit our squad far more. Barnes, Praet, Ricardo, Tielemans and Maddison are all capable of technical tight passing and finishing providing someone in front of them can hold it up.
