This week I have mainly been watching

If you liked the Night Manager, if you like Capture, one you need to watch is available on Disney +
It’s another of those conspiracy dramas that was first shown a few years ago called Deep State.
Highly recommend.

I didn't like Night Manager but I like Capture so I'll certainly give Deep state a go. thanks.

I’m the same age, and I watched the first one at school.
I used to watch it every seven years, but, gave up when they turned 35.
I might tune in for the 70th, I bet a few of them are dead now.

From what I understand 2 have died. Hopefully will still be a worthwhile watch on how the lives have panned out for the others

I enjoyed the first season (maybe the second I can't remember) Got bored after that.

Just started Bergerac season 2. I quite enjoy the stories but can't understand why they use the "bergerac" name when the character isn't the same and neither are the supporting characters - Charlie is a woman! Just make a new Jersey based detective series or even about the guy who replaced Jim.

Started Smilla's sense of snow - on recommendation. It's weird but I'll give the second episode a run tonight.
Watching Bodkin - again on recommendation. It's a hard boring watch, with one of the lead characters just false and annoying.
Also watching the Madame Blanc Mysteries - my god it is so boring.
 
The Boys

I started 2026 but thought I’d best watch 2012 first, thoroughly enjoyed that so just started W1A.
Let’s nail this puppy to the floor.
 
Watching old episodes of Give Us a Clue on youtube and god knows what happened to me but I am beginning to find Liza Goddard attractive.Just shows how your standards drop when you hit 50.

Every slow horse season is great. The books are great too.

The last of us - my wife doesn't like much sci-fi/post apocalyptic so I haven't tried it, even though it's on my list

Slow Horses, TV series almost as good as the books, Jackson Lamb too un PC for TV.
 
Shout out for ‘Shrinking’ on Apple co written by Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso) understated and funny/heart wrenching in equal measures.

I thought I'd like that - Harrison Ford after all - watched a few episodes but in the end it just got on my nerves.
 
Watching Taboo at the moment, very dark.
Just finished The Secret Agent, which I enjoyed.
Also just finished an American comedy (which I don’t normally find entertaining) called Big Mistakes .

Taboo - was that Hardy? It was good.Secret agent I couldn't get into. Big mistakes, watched the first 10 minutes but it was too "loud".

Started watching the second series of Criminal Record enjoyed the first, Watched the 60 days in season 9 - weakest of the lot but I do like people watching. Watched Bookish, slow but okay. Playing nice - good but frustrating. Started Prey last night - lots of holes. Finished second season of bergerac - okay. Started Mint didn't even last 10 minutes.
 
Finished Taboo tonight, and I enjoyed it.
Just read that series two is definitely going to be made, and should air sometime next year, ten years after the original.
 
Children of the blitz on BBC last night. Valuable programme to capture the memories of some of the last remaining folks who remember the blitz. My family lived through it in Battersea. They didn't talk too much about it but they did have one or two lucky escapes.
 
Southland - somebody recommended it and I am pleased they did.

Brilliant LA police drama which I had never heard of, five seasons filmed (on hand held camera) between 2009 and 2013

Great action and properly developed characters.
